    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198109902196 (SpliF)

    Victim profile: 76561197982238787

    What happened? Description:
i added my flip knife ddpat(field tested) in the trade section of cslounge the 11april and i guess he(OPPPS tm) found my profile there. So he i accepted his invitation and he asked if i wanted to sell my knife, i answered that i prefered a trade as selling outside steam was too much trouble. He then offered to buy the knife i wanted wich was the bayonet field tested in exchange for my flip knife ddpat and 4 csgo card, after agreeing he asked me for a middleman, i asked to my brother(the actual real SpliF) to do it. He then asked me to delete SpliF(sound to me like he was affraid to get scam), i agreed witout asking a question as i was on ventrilo with SpliF at the same time. Then the fake splif added(same picture, same name no dot at the end) me and the complice created 2 multichat one with the real SpliF on with me and one with the fake splif and me, the fake splif then started a trade with me but it was bugging and was closing for no reason and the same thing with the multichat of the real SpliF so when i was asking him if it was working he was saying no and i tough he was speaking of the trade window...at a point he stopped closing the trade window and when the second after i pressed accept i understood...but too late blocked. i made a ticket one hour after with the same screenshot i post here.

So here to help you out to understand

LOL here's the answer Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

    We apologize for the delay.

As you have agreed upon the trade by confirming it multiple times, we will be unable to recover any items/gifts that have been traded.

Before accepting the trade, it is your responsibility to verify that contents of the trade are correct and that you are trading with the correct user.

We will investigate this user and take appropriate action. Please note that you will not receive a notification about any action taken as a result of this report.

If you encounter a scammer in the future, please report them from their Steam Community profile. To do so, click the 'More' drop down, select 'Report Violation' and choose 'Attempted Trade Scam'.

Some examples of trades that you should not agree to are:

    - Trading items/gifts for money/PayPal outside of the Steam Community Market
    - Trading items/gifts for CD keys
    - Trading items/gifts and expecting them to be returned to you through a verbal agreement
    - Trading items/gifts for nothing in return in the first trade and expecting to get an item or gift in a later trade
