Integrity Standard outside of Trading

    I know we're all about anti-fraud, education, refining what integrity is...so I was curious on the thoughts of cheaters. Y'know, VAC, Overwatch, knowing lying and deceiving other people to get an unfair advantage. Almost sounds like sharking in a very vague way.

    I know people that are in SR are held to incredibly high standards and I'd hope those are what communities should do. So with that being said, is it ever okay for someone, current or former, administrator, moderator, middleman, etc, to cheat in the very games they traded/affiliated with? I would hope not but after a competitive game, I'm hoping this is just one of those 'don't give a f✿✿✿' moments.

    I will be taking this up with the respective community on their forums, but thought I'd get some insight around here. And I'm after this guy, former Admin or not, he's on the staff list and his blatant boasting about being able to avoid the systems we have in place to keep cheaters out, let's just say it makes me about as hot under the helmet as it would seeing someone go rogue and steal a bunch of items. If anyone on SR that has Valve Emps on their list know about this type of 'cheat', I'd be much appreciated. Pretty sure its private.

    I took the effort of watching through the replay (would have helped if you told me around what time he toggled). He's pretty blatantly cheating/hacking, and uses slurs in the chat.

    I don't think Harpoon Gaming should be endorsing unfair play and hacking in CSGO. Neither should SteamRep. I'm in no position to take any official stance on this issue for SteamRep either. Personally, I'd like to see him banned in-game eventually.

    This, in general, is outside the scope of SR nor is the user staff of SR so we really can’t take any action ourselves. I think he’ll have to answer for his conduct but we are not the place or authority. I'm going to lock this for now and defer reopening to SRs head if he chooses.
