    1. I've been banned on sourceop because : http://puu.sh/2g8ax Now I go to appeal this ban like any other ordinary person. I find that I can not appeal since every page redirects me to the ban page, so I log out and hit "Contact Us" I emailed him ( my appeal ) : http://puu.sh/2g9f2
    2. I should start how this story happens. I get home and do my usual steam and homework on the computer setup. This guy Vincent (keys for sale) adds me. He says that he's seen my Outpost trade, and wants to sell me keys . I ask him for sourceop rep and he showed me his. Fairly new and his account was fairly new as well. So we work out a deal where I would buy 70 keys and he would give 35 keys first. I would send full payment and he would give me the rest 35 keys. Other big time Source-op users were leaving rep such as SunnySundays ( who was banned as well). So I trusted him, when I received the 35 keys he told me that he had already left rep. So I stopped the paypal payment procedure and left rep on his post; copying another post where I wrote "+Rep Took Turns going first and No Problems. Thanks~" After I submitted that post, I went to paypal and hit "Send Money." Paypal rejected the payment saying something along the lines of "The Card Issuer has denied the Payment" because I didn't have enough money to pay for the transaction left on my debit card. I told him this and returned the keys. Now many people told me that I should've deleted the post right then and there, because there was no actual transaction, but my reasons are A) At the time a lot of other users were buying his keys and leaving rep, so I didn't worry about him being a scammer. B)We worked out a deal ourselves and I didn't think that he was a scammer of some sort. C)I was tired and didn't conduct an investigation to see if he was shady/alt. D) I was tired and wanted to eat and go to bed.
    3. So here is a screenshot of me receiving the keys at X Time. And then returning the Keys at X Time. http://puu.sh/2g8V2
    4. I didn't change the rep post or anything, because I didn't think that I'd run into problems AND I was going to purchase keys in the future when I got my Paypal working again. This all happened on the night of March 8.
    5. On March 9 and 10 (Weekend) I didn't check sourceop as I didn't do any cash trades. Only today (March 11th) was the first time I checked sourceop since Friday to find myself banned ( same screenshot as first paragraph. ) Every other person that replied to the seller's rep thread also were banned probably for the same reason. None of us were marked on steamrep.
    6. After a while, of investigating I appealed my ban through the Contact Us Feature. The screenshot of the email is posted in the first paragraph. I then receive a friend request from You Are The One and this is our full conversation( http://puu.sh/2g7uh ). I did not have a chance to explain what had happened. He then emails me a response here : http://puu.sh/2g74f So now I am marked a scammer on steamrep for leaving "fake rep" as well as buying from an obvious alt. I wasn't aware that the seller was an obvious alt and I did not intentionally leave fake rep. I was also going to purchase keys in the future.
    7. My steam profile : http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198059817653

    11. http://puu.sh/2g8V2 (Receiving and Returning Keys)
    12. http://puu.sh/2g7uh (Steam Conversation with Sourceop Mod)
    13. http://puu.sh/2g74f (Email Response from You Are The One)
    14. http://puu.sh/2gaoe (Screenshot of Recent Paypal Payments) You can see here that no money was sent because the payment failed.

This was copy and pasted from a pastebin I had, so sorry if you come across any problems. The moderator recently told me that

No transaction took place, your rep comment said you did a paypal trade, you infact, did not, fakerep. Blame PayPal, blame not checking all weekend, blame everyone else you can, I simply do not give a f✿✿✿. You should have been as thorough checking the user and keeping up with the transaction as you are complaining and documenting your current ban. :)

So I guess that it is a fakerep, but it was completely unintentional and I wasn't aware of such things. My only response as to why I left it is I was going to purchase keys in the future, and also I saw that after our experience he didn't seem like a scammer. I apologize as it is fake rep, but like I said before it is completely unintentional and we did in fact trade keys so the rep isn't entirely fake. It's just that I traded back as paypal did not work (Debit Card) and no transaction happened.
  2. So I just noticed some things and want to point some things out aswell.

My original ban reason : http://puu.sh/2g8ax
    Ban Reason now : http://puu.sh/2hfiu
-My trade history screenshot : http://puu.sh/2g8V2
-I traded with a guy named Vincent tf2 keys sale.
    -Here is his profile http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198022085104
-His account is not so much of an obvious alt with 3 years on steam as well as 774 hours on TF2.

What I'm trying to say here is that it turns out that Nxyouz is Vincent's alt. Vincent's sourceop account was already banned (Or so I believe.) When I purchased keys I asked for his rep thread and he showed me the one linked with Nxyouz. My mistake here is that I didn't check the steam profiles linked in that rep thread, since I knew that he was already going first aswell as his profile is legit already. So like in my original post he repped me, and I repped him back, but he repped me with the account linked to Nxyouz. And Vincent's steam profile isn't so much of a "obvious alt."

Also I was looking around the fourms and noticed this.

In Skyrider's second post he lists a chat with Butane.
    3:57 AM - Butane: hello,
    3:57 AM - Slang_: Yes.
3:57 AM - Butane: you had an appeal on sr
    3:57 AM - Slang_: I screwed up.
3:57 AM - Slang_: Skyliner or whatever posted.
3:57 AM - Butane: would you post your trade history showing the trades you received the comments for
3:57 AM - Slang_: I'll just have to deal with it. On where?
3:58 AM - Slang_: My steam page?
3:58 AM - Butane: on SR
3:58 AM - Slang_: Its fake rep.
3:58 AM - Slang_: It was stupid.
3:58 AM - Butane: so no trades actually happened?
    3:58 AM - Slang_: No, i'm a lying scumbag.
3:58 AM - Butane: and you lied during your appeal?
    3:58 AM - Butane: :/
3:59 AM - Slang_: Ban me off steam if you need to.
3:59 AM - Butane: SR is not steam
    3:59 AM - Slang_: Eh.
3:59 AM - Butane: we don't even have an official relationship with em
3:59 AM - Slang_: Is there another punishment apart from this?
4:00 AM - Slang_: Because what i did was not acceptable.
4:00 AM - Butane: tagging ppl is the only form of "punishment" we have
4:02 AM - Slang_: Well, can you at leat remove the alts? Only one of them is my alt, and it was made during the time all my passwords were leached.
    4:02 AM - Slang_: Eh?
4:02 AM - Slang_: Jabster was the alt.
4:03 AM - Slang_: is there anything you can do?
4:04 AM - Butane: not really,
4:04 AM - Slang_: But mamski is not an alt account.
4:04 AM - Butane: I just added you to get screenshot of trade history but apparently dont matter
    4:04 AM - Slang_: because i'm a lying tool.
4:04 AM - Butane: then mamski will need to appeal
4:05 AM - Slang_: Please, don't put him through this
4:05 AM - Slang_: he is innocent.
4:05 AM - Slang_: even check my ip now
4:06 AM - Butane: he will have to appeal himself
4:06 AM - Butane: no third party appeals
    4:06 AM - Butane: sorry
    4:06 AM - Slang_: Check our ip's!
4:06 AM - Slang_: There ARE different.
    4:06 AM - Slang_: They're*
4:07 AM - Butane: It does not make a difference, no third party appeals, says right in the appeal process thread
    4:08 AM - Butane: http://forums.steamrep.com/pages/faq/
4:08 AM - Butane: For Scammer Appeals, what are the rules?
4:08 AM - Butane: Only appeals are done with the account that has been marked. No 3rd-party appeals (exceptions may be translators, or if you were somehow directly involved such as being middleman).
4:09 AM - Slang_: He's innocent and you know it. Hit me with a trade ban as long as you like. Just i don' twant to put him through this. I
4:09 AM - Slang_: I've read it several times.
4:09 AM - Butane: I don't even know if hes an alt or not, nor does it matter until he appeals
4:09 AM - Slang_: Well if so, then i'll forever live wit the sop scammer on my steamrep page.
4:10 AM - Butane: just no 3rd party appeals, I'm the head of SR currently and I'm not even going to bend that rule for you
    4:10 AM - Butane: sorry
    4:10 AM - Slang_: I realised that.
4:10 AM - Slang_: He has a chance, but i don't? I'll forver live with that on my steamrep page?
4:11 AM - Butane: I have no clue because he has yet to appeal
4:11 AM - Butane: anything else?
4:11 AM - Butane: alrighty, good luck.
    Slang_ is now Offline.
Here Butane asks the Scammer for trade history showing the trades which he received the rep comments (fake?) for. I'm only pointing this out because in my sake I did go through a transaction. It's only that I returned them after my paypal payment failed. It's my fault for not removing the comments or what not, because no keys were actually exchanged, but I was planing on buying keys when I got my paypal working and he didn't seem like a scammer himself since he already agreed to go first with the little sourceop rep that he had. (Didn't notice it was a new account.)

You left a reputation comment for a transaction that was not successful and you were aware of its unsuccessful nature at the time of posting the reputation comment.

    Appeal denied.
