Description: I decided that I would try and find the person with the craft #1 Market Gardener one day for no particular reason. Then I used an item searching program to find him. I traded him about 3 days ago, he said to wait a while since he was busy. Around 1:45 on 4-21-12, I traded him again, and we negotiated a price. Then he put up something that appeared to just be a nametagged Market Gardener, but he assured me it was just a glitch, and that as well as the fact that it said he crafted it assured me. I traded him a Unusual Gentleman's Gatsby (Orbiting Fire) for it. After the trade, I looked at it in my backpack, realized that it was a fake, and began this report. The outcome is that I am down an unusual.

Dude, right below a renamed item it says "this item has been renamed", how can ANYONE fall for this???

On another note, I used to have this guy added as I am collecting crafted market gardeners and I think he used to have several of those (real ones). So maybe the item search didn't find the re-named one but was just outdated.

I know that, it was similar to the whole quickswitching scamming thing, knocking down the trade for a second and then putting the fake one in. He did (And still does) have the actual #1.

I guess I scared the guy who did it, he re-added me and gave me back the unusual, and right after told me to take down the thread, I guess that it worked anyhow. I'll take this down then?

I am really not a scammer, I felt bad afterwards and contacted the guy. gave him back his hat. I couldn't feel any ownership or pride in having it. I have come clean and appologized to waldo, added him to friends.
