A couple years back or so I scammed a friend by false selling him a game. I got banned but we still stayed friends and all was good and I kept the scammer tag because I wasn't really into trading, but now I sometimes want to use some websites and I can't because of the tag. I think enough time has passed and I think my tag should be removed if possible. I am a different person than I was back then, I hope you understand.

Have you repaid the user you scammed?

I didn't repay him 1:1, but he got repaid and we were friendly with each other after the incident.

Could we see proof of you repaying the user?

Though you did not followup, we went ahead and concluded the appeal,

After an extensive dig into this case and with the assistance of another admin (sky), I am converting this tag from SR to SOP due to the only semi-official report being hosted on SOP (posted by deigo) and the likelihood of the original incident originating on SOP (although against site rules, both accused/victim were members and accused had a minecraft sales thread up 10 days prior to the report being made)

As for the case itself, I do find the reporters story credible but the evidence circumstantial at best (other then your admission). Since you did not followup or show you repaid, I am leaving this as a caution for now. You may only appeal the caution if you can show you repaid the user already and wait at least an additional 6 months after that time.
