A long time ago I was banned from the UHC servers for one week. This happened because I added a UHC admin to ask for help in getting back a searing snaggle that was scammed from me. The admin was a friend of the scammers and I thought that he would persuade the scammer to return the snaggle. I was upset about getting scammed and told the admin that I would sue the guy if I could. In response the admin banned me for a week (probably because the scammer was his friend). Now that's an abuse of power and morally wrong since I was the victim of a scam. If you read my steam profile comments you will see that I am one of the most honest traders out there. I've also had my steam account since 2004. Sadly, people are not trading with me and even reporting me as a scammer because of my caution tag even though this tag resulted from me being scammed. Please help!

Do you know which admin it was? Your ban notes say you were disrespecting Cloudy, but was he the admin who banned you?

The scam report linked to you should be disregarded, clear misunderstanding.

I spoke to Cloudy and to John but the person that banned me for a week was John. This happened in December 2010 and I still have the screenshots showing the entire conversation. Basically, this is what happened:

    1) I got scammed out of a searing snaggle
    2) I found the scammer and he admitted scamming me in front of tons of players
    3) Cloudy's friend scammed the original scammer
    4) I complained to Cloudy and threatened the scammer with a lawsuit (scammer is cloudy's friend)
    5) Instead of returning the snaggle to me, the rightful owner, Cloudy had his scammer friend take a max from me for it
    6) I was angry with Cloudy for making me pay a max for my own unusual so Cloudy complained to John and I was banned for a week.

I have screenshots of everything to prove this!

I was there when this happened. Cloudy was being a corrupt moderator but nobody spoke up about it because they were scared of getting banned too.

My computer was being repaired and I just got it back today. After I reinstall everything and get my files in order I will put up screenshots of the conversations I had with all of the different people involved. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you for waiting. I've finally got all of the proof together. I have a screenshot of the original scammer admitting that he scammed me, the second scammer admitting that he scammed the first, many instances of Cloudy being corrupt, John banning me, and backpacks of the original scammer and the second scammer. Let me point out some of the key responses that Cloudy gave. After Meat Twizzlers, the second scammer, admitted to scamming the original scammer Cloudy replied "Meat got it fair and square", "He's not getting banned", "Its your fault if you get scammed" and "He broke no rules". When I asked Cloudy "and keeping stolen property isn't either?" he replied "No its not actually". Later on Cloudy replies "you got scammed", "I feel bad", "but why should Meat who acquired the hat have to sacrifice it". Thanks to Cloudy I was forced to trade a max head to the second scammer to get my searing snaggle back. I was then banned for a week because I "threatened" to sue Meat Twizzlers, the second scammer, who was a close friend of Cloudy's. It seems to me that Cloudy and John were being corrupt and trying to shush me. In any event, I should not have a UHC Caution tag for that.

Technically, if Meat Twizzler scammed the first guy for the hat, he should be marked as a scammer there too. He is in his rights to demand payment for the item, as he owes you nothing. You can't force him to give you the hat back (and by proxy, you cannot force Cloudy to try to either). Thus the ban is legitimate, UHC was well within their rights to ban you from their community for threatening admins.
I do like the Yahoo tab open - 'are-americans-a✿✿✿✿✿✿s' and the answer is of course, emphatically, yes.

    Oh, Cloudy...
'so scamming someone isn't against the rules?'
    'No its not actually'

The UHC ban was for 1 week and was a very long time ago. I can see no reason for keeping it here, appeal granted.
If you would like to report Meat Twizzler for scamming (a scammer, but scamming regardless), make a report thread.

I remember your case quite vividly, the tag should be removed, it was only for a week. The reason you were actually banned was because you were getting angry with me making threats left and right , and to polyvore^ I think I was referring to Steams policy on trade scams, not UHCs it's quite known that item trade scams are pretty unprotected you're suppose to 'know who youre trading with' or some other bs excuse steam support can come up with. And no I wasn't 'friends' with the scammer at the time, I don't recall ever being friends with a meat twizzler, he could have just been on my friends list at the time seeing as I constantly had a full friends list. I was under the impression that permanent bans were the only ones that resulted in Caution tags, sorry about all this Bluefin.

PS: Good lawls from the internet browser tabs, lol. Worlds weirdest h- what? haha

Thank you for accepting my appeal. This tag has been bothering me for the longest time because I am a very honest trader and have even returned unusuals that were given to me accidentally in a trade. John did say that both the first scammer and second scammer got permanent bans but I haven't checked up on that. The yahoo tab was about Americans losing their wealth not about something silly. Also, I did not threaten Cloudy. I threatened the scammer so I see no reason for me to have been banned in the first place. Cloudy was just upset that I was pushing the issue too hard and there is no evidence that I threatened him or said anything negative about him. I thought that was pretty clear from the screenshots. In addition, Cloudy should not be an admin since he lacks the integrity necessary to be an impartial judge. Is there a Caution tag that he can get for his conduct in this matter? Either way, I greatly appreciate your approval as this lifts a great weight off of me.

Yeah, I'm sure you do remember my case since I was made fun of on the UHC servers for quite some time after the fact. I was getting angry and making threats but they were all directed at the scammer. This is very clear from the screenshots. I see you're trying to weasel out of all the unappealing comments you made but the facts are the facts. You told me that I was screwed and that the scammer did nothing wrong. You should not be an admin and I hope steamrep will give you a Caution tag for your conduct in this matter.

I was making a fair point, back then getting items back from steam support was a myth, It was not my intention for you to get the idea that you were totally screwed, simply that most scammers once banned never return the items they steal. You were being a total prick to me (not just in these screenshots you provided), like you are now, it was a one week ban, grow up and cool your jets. Policy on scammed goods back in 2010 early 2011 was a lot different.

(Also meat twizzler was infact banned, I remember banning him for scamming shortly after the conversation.)

A little bit of information on the missing chunk thats probably confusing people: Bluefin was threatening to sue Meat Twizzler for stealing the snaggle (if I remember correctly), Its probably a bit misleading that I said "Meat Twizzler shouldn't have to pay for your mistake" I don't agree with what meat did, he did infact steal the hat which resulted in his ban, but threatening to sue someone who had very little connection to what actually happened seemed a bit absurd to me, threatening to sue/insulting the individual who actually scammed bluefin would have been a lot more acceptable.

It seems to me that the person who was in the wrong was the scammer but instead of supporting me you supported him and told me I should know better. I didn't even call you names or get upset with you. I just kept asking for your help and it seems that my pushing of the issue was a waste of time for you so you had me banned for a week. That's not a good admin and I'm not being a prick. That's how most people would react and some would be a lot harsher than I was since I was extremely respectful towards you.

Im not going to treat you like a baby and comfort you when you lose a hat (I did express that I was sorrow that you were scammed if you look back to the beginning of the chat), especially when you refuse to listen to a word I say. it is your fault that you got scammed, Ive been scammed for much larger sums, I blame no one but myself for that. No one helped me when I lost 750$ to chargeback, the accuser was banned and that was that. And you were totally respectful towards me? I hope thats a joke, I can recognize when someone is being respectful, and you were not. You blatantly ignored everything I said and kept threatening to "find meat twizzler" and "make him give you the hat back one way or another" I've been a trade server admin since 2010 I've dealt with hundreds of people who have been scammed, you were by no means one of the more respectful ones.
