    The ban was for "Impersonation." The users name I used was Butane{EMC}. The reason I took this name was because I thought it was cool and the image he used reminded me of the character from the movie hackers (Acid Burn). I never claimed to be him or tried to scam anyone under his name. I did talk to him directly about this after I was banned (6 months after) and he said even though it was an accident I did take someones name and that I could appeal it again in the future. I have never scammed any items or attempted to scam. My mistake was that I was a kid (the offence was 3 years ago) who did not think twice.     Your appeal was denied 9-15-2011, the admin did not mention anything at all about being allowed to reappeal it.

    I tried to get in contact with butane but it seems he declined my friend request, i have gotten a new computer since so i don't have chat logs. Does this mean I will be banned forever?

    You already appealed and the tag was already upheld by another admin, no notes left said the tag could be reappealed at a later time either. You were a member of sop at the time so you knew who "butane" was. Since I did not find any additional issues nor was their any direct report of a user being scammed by you, I am making a very rare exception and dropping the tag to a conditional caution pending no further issues. No further appeal will be given since you already used yours up even before this one.
