There is a LONG trail that leads this account to the main account that I just got scammed by yesterday, so stick with me. I'm going to put forth as much evidence as I can. I'm copying this with some modifications from an open steam ticket that I wrote: Yesterday I was scammed by a user by the name of :3 Meels. Details with proof are located in the thread I created at: http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/76561198047602837-3-meels.11459/ This obviously was not the scammer's main account as I had overlooked the fact that they did not have games and had very little play time. I was so mad after being scammed that I decided to piece together what happened, and I believe that I've come to a conclusion who the main scammer is. I've done my best to sort the events that led to finding this guy into sections. FIRST Of note, this user, who is friends with ":3 Meels"/"sMiley " has the same name and profile picture as ":3 Meels"/"sMiley " has had in the past. They also have played Dota 2 an almost identical time this week, which makes me believe that they traded my keys to this account. steamID: Phi steamID32: STEAM_0:0:15491278 steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197991248284 customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/daeas steamrepURL: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561197991248284?t=1348691768 SECOND After doing some digging, the one person who is on EVERY person's friend list related to ":3 Meels"/"sMiley " is this user: steamID: DeucesSon steamID32: STEAM_0:1:41035684 steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198042337097 customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/DeucesSon steamrepURL: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198042337097 Who coincidentally has a ton of Dota 2 keys, AND has posted a likely fraudulent rep on ":3 Meels"/"sMiley "'s profile as: DeucesSon Sep 22, 2012 @ 12:35am +rep, speedy payment and paid before i sent item, great trader The "paid before i sent item" part is probably there to entice people like myself into trading, as it makes them seem trustworthy. THIRD and potentially not related to my case, but still probably guilty by association steamID: DALTRONNOSAUR steamID32: STEAM_0:0:39123745 steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198038513218 customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/DALTRONNOSAUR steamrepURL: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198038513218 and steamID: iEatAtWendys steamID32: STEAM_0:1:45846458 steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198051958645 customURL: steamrepURL: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198051958645 Both posted the same kind of +rep message and all are on each others friend lists. AT THIS POINT while writing the steam ticket DeucesSon trades the keys away. steamID: DeucesSon steamID32: STEAM_0:1:41035684 steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198042337097 customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/DeucesSon steamrepURL: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198042337097 This user's trade history, as PAGES of keys just disappeared from their inventory soon after posting my last message. FOURTH I'm trying to figure out who DeucesSon traded the keys to and noticed that of who was online when the trade went down: steamID: DDoS steamID32: STEAM_0:1:24279080 steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198008823889 customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/ijko steamrepURL: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198008823889 Has a ton of keys now, PLUS has some of the current/past nicknames as both: steamID: Phi steamID32: STEAM_0:0:15491278 steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197991248284 customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/daeas steamrepURL: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561197991248284?t=1348691768 and THE ORIGINAL SCAMMER steamID: sMiley steamID32: STEAM_0:1:43668554 steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198047602837 customURL: http://steamcommunity.com/id/123123412412114321321312432 steamrepURL: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198047602837 Specifically the names ijko, phi ,Fhi, and Φ. Here is a link to a gallery of pictures of their inventory at the time of writing with many keys: http://imgur.com/a/osrUj This person is apparently community manager at VGN and named Michael. This user is friends with some of the alt accounts/accomplices, and currently has the keys in his account. There is plenty more linking by association these accounts in the steamrep history for the account names and pictures. I know that I probably won't get my keys back, but I'd love some justice.
I heard about these people, they scam for a s✿✿✿-ton and keep moving it along accounts. Bro i hope these ALL get TradeBanned.
I just got a response back from valve on my ticket. The original scammer account has now been trade banned, but I would still like to see the guy's main account get a SR Scammer tag. Is there anything else that I can do?
