Description:
On 9/7/2012 4:08pm (Beijing, China) I was added by "Shadow" who was offering on my Bubbling Texas Ten-Gallon. He offered a Last Breath that was craftable, but did not have a craft number as the result of a glitch, making it a rare item. The scammer linked a thread to TF2PC (http://www.tf2pricecheck.net/Thread-PC-No-craft-Last-Breath), and I did my own quick Google search which showed that the item he claimed to have was indeed real and rare. I tried to do more research on the Last Breath, and he agreed to add sweets to the deal. I was wary at first because his profile was private, but he insisted it was for his account's own safety. I also checked his SteamRep profile, which showed him as clean.

I still wasn't sure, but he invited me to trade and showed me the item in the trade window. When I hovered my mouse over the Last Breath, it's details were "Last Breath, Level 13". Me, never having owned a Last Breath before thought that the craft number would show. After seeing this, I thought the item was legitimate. We proceeded to do the trade, upon which I discovered that the Last Breath was a regular crafted one, with number 7709. I did not realize this until after the trade concluded and he de-friended me.

Update:

I did some searching, and found my hat back on the market in this trade:

The link below has the history of previous owners. I am assuming because Bezdog has his backpack private, his name would not show up here. This history suggests that I traded my hat to the current owner mfragg, which is not the case as shown by the chat log I posted in the above post.
