Description:
The guy added me, I accepted and said hello thinking he was a trader. After claiming to know me from a game, even though I did not recognize his name, he gave me a sob story about getting scammed and tried to get me to give him items. I quickly noticed that most of his friends list were people who raffle on TF2R like myself. After checking with Glitchboy (3rd screenshot) I found out that he indeed was adding people from the site to try to get free items.

Technically I guess this guy didn't scam me but he certainly did try, and based on some feedback I got from other people I am not the only one. I'm not sure if he actually managed to get any items from anyone yet or not.

I'm not an admin, but asking for items isn't really scamming, but the sob story is an attempt at scamming. I think it should be an Attempted Scam offense, not a actual happening scam.

That might be, but some people recommended that I report him, and since I had all the screen shots and chat logs anyway so that we could all laugh at his attempt I figured that it was worth posting on here. Like I said I'm not sure if he got anything and I'm not sure if tricking someone into thinking they were a person they played with in order to get items would be scamming. But to me it seems like an attempt at scamming me out of items even though it did fail.
