Quite a while ago i got falsly scammer marked and i would like to say im sorry for whatever i did. I still think that i didint do it but you guys wont beleave me so im just here to say that i have changed my ways i guess and i would love to just play the game again

You are the one. I think there was a missunderstanding and i also was to hasty in writing this thread. I am aware of my misstakes and im also aware of that what i did was wrong. But we all make misstakes so this is a thread for me to say sorry from the bottom of my heart. I do not mind if i still have the scammer tag i am doing fine with it. But the fact that when i try to make a friend in a server they blatantly respond with ''UGH YOU ARE A SCAMMER'' there is nothing i can do. i dont trade anymore and i will probably never do. Due to the werid economy state of TF2 right now. This is a game that i loved and i always helped people against scammers. But i guess that i got corrupted by greed. But he hasent been online for 91 days now. I have tried to right my wrongs I am a diffrent person now and I hate having this scammer tag reminding me of a past I didint actually want anything to do with in the first place.. I have even tried to find his adress and send him a real letter saying im sorry and i would love to pay him back if not double what i owe him. But first of all that is illegal and i just couldint take the risk. So please can you look into this and maybe once again. I James am from the bottom of my heart sorry.

I just thought I'd go over some of the "proof" that were against my friend James. I personally think his ban is based on nothing and it really upset me to se someone get banned over close to nothing.
So let's go over the convincing proof shall we.

So starting from the beginnning, there was a screenshot of some person, not the victim, chatting with James in what seems to be an attempt to buy the said hat.

In this chat, the poster states that James is a scammer and is threatening to SR report him. This contains some foul language from James which is understandable, when being accused of being a scammer. However his foul language is inappropiate, this is no reason to give him a ban for scamming.

Second off, the screenshot of the item being traded.

So, this shows that the person traded the hat to James. This is nice, shows that the hat was actually given to James. However, alone, this doesn't show that it was scammed. Could aswell, based on this, only show that it was given to James since he won the bet.

Once again, this shows that Jamie tried to sell this given unusual. I have no idea how this would contribute to show that he scammed the guy, other than showing he owns it. Pointing out he was selling it shows nothing that he was scamming.

Here we got the victim, posting he was scammed by Jame. This is just the victim claiming he was scammed. This weight just as much as James saying he didn't scam him. Word to word.

This shows that someone got killed by the victim first, then this person kills the victim. I do not see that this person is James, but that might just be me. There is no proof the first kills are made by flies, due no proof of it being the actual competetition or just an afk random kill.

This shows a screen of Jamie with a message asking people to join his broking company steam page. In a search, such a page was not found when doing my research, so I cannot refer to this being safe or not. All I can tell is that this screenshots provides no proof that Jamie has or has had a steam group of such. If I put I owned a child selling company on my steam profile, a screenshot of it wouldn't prove it existed, wouldn't it? Therefore I can so execlude this aswell, as it doesn't contribute more than assumptions about him being a scammer.

Lastly, I want to say that this is just me, being very upset because I don't like people being treated unfair. After hearing James story, it made me really upset seeing a person being banned over so little proof. I would highly recommend SR admins reconcider this ban and strongly recommends his ban will be removed.

This is just a person, being upset over unfair treatment.

As an add on, in the original post, the accusers claim no deal or battle was taken place. yet, they provide screenshots of the battle took place. They say it didn't take place, then post proof who won.

Hello there, this is James here and I have a lot of explaining to do. About 8 months ago I was reported for scamming. I was unsure what to do in this kind of situation. I felt like it was word to word, so I thought complying with steamrep, agreeing with all accusations would be the best way to get the tag removed. This didn't seem like the brightest idea, looking back at it. Due me confessing that the accusations were true, in this quote:

I pretty much messed up my chances to get the tag removed. Now I am sitting on a scammer tag.
I hope this post will help clear things up, making me get put as an "SR Caution".
But one thing I need to make clear is that I am not a scammer. I have never been one and I will never be. If there's any way I can prove it that I'm not, please let me know.

First off, I would like to show that I have received 8 +rep from various users, after I was scammer marked.

Second of, huge thank you to Le_LH for making this post, going through all evidence and why it's not fair that it led to a scammer tag.

There is so little convincing evidence, it kind of seems like a "favor" was called in.

As for now, I stream TF2 on a daily basis. People usually send me gifts, in forms of TF2 hats, miscs and weapons. I most likely give these away to my viewers to make sure their experience with the game is more pleasant. I also educate the viewers on a daily basis, how to avoid getting scammed, recommending sites like " http://backpack.tf/ ; http://www.calculator.tf/ ; http://steamrep.com/ ".

Long story short, I would love to prove myself not guilty to you admins in any sort of way.
