Description: Cactus and I did 2 deals over about a week as he stayed on my friendlist. He constantly asked to trade more but (luckily) I was out of stock almost every time he asked. We ended up doing only those two deals. One for earbuds, one for a mix of items, totaling $40. More people involved will be posting as well.

He also received fake rep from a scammer on his SOP thread. That should have been a red flag.

Description: Just sold Cactus 48 keys via Paypal last night. He was verified on Paypal and seemed to pass the usual no-rep requirements and even brought off other traders before. Tonight bur adds me to say there's a chargeback against him on Paypal and lo and behold, I've been chargedback too alongside two other traders. There is another trader who repped him on his steam profile but he immediately removed me when I asked him about Cactus:

I briefly contacted him and he said he got hacked. Told him to post here.

He got hacked and managed to recover both his accounts in one night, yup, makes sense.

He claims to have been hacked around ~12-3pm est. Not only did I trade with him after this time; which in recent conversations he admits it was him who traded me not hackers. But also all of the charge backs were within the last 4 hours. Well after he got hacked

Hey guys, BeastFromTheEast here. Don't hate on me, I didn't fake rep, we traded legit so I +repped him, then he charged me back - f✿✿✿✿✿✿ bastard.
Spoke to AcesGamer (what a lad btw) and he told me to post all my Paypal info and stuff so here it goes. Also I talked to Cactus (bullshit he got hacked) so posting that chat log. Basically he said he bought things legitimately but then hackers got ahold of his paypal and steam and charged back his purchases. And then he got his accounts back straight after. What a load of bullshit. He did say he's talking to paypal to reverse the charge backs so we'll see how that turns out. My god it sucks being scammed.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't reversing gift purchases require you to contact your bank or credit card company? If that is the case, he is lying.

Because he said his card was "stolen" or comprimised, Paypal doesn't give 2 sh*ts that he said he wouldnt chargeback, they care more about fixing the issue, regardless of seller response. So done with that company.
@Aces, I don't believe that's true. I've had people reverse gifts on me before and they did it exactly through this method. I traded with him on May 31st, looks like hes been doing his homework since then.

Well, at the moment he's just playing TF2 with a full inventory of uncrated hats like he doesn't give a crap about whether he's tagged or not.

For the time being, it is pretty much concluded that this chargeback was intended by Dr. Cactus, and he did not get "hacked", as all his IP addresses on TF2OP are the same, and don't show signs of a hacking.

If anyone else has any further information about the incident to report, I will leave this open for now.
