I'm basically re-opening an archived thread http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/76561198052948867-9-1-3-5neko_x3-3-1-9.12271/ as I have obtained new proof which should lead to marking. Please read the archived scam report thread before reading the proof in this thread.

Reasons to why I don't buy his innocence:

1a) I suspect he has two alt accounts. These suspected alt accounts of his possesses nearly exact profile names and the other alt also possesses exactly same nationality (Germany) as what his main account (Neko) has. One of the main reasons to why Neko didn't get marked in the first place was that there were a possibility that he was just new to trading. I think this claim can now be trashed:

1b) First of all newbie traders doesn't have alt accounts which they purposely use to provide themselves with fake rep. This leads to the second proof ->

2a) He provided himself with fake reputation. After traders told to him that they aren't gonna go first since he doesn't have any reputation of cash trades, a fake reputation message, made by his suspected alt account steamrepURL: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198072034501 appeared to his steam profile (which also was also in private mode for a couple days) http://gyazo.com/36726727098c6f1099eff2ff7d7403b2 The message says "+rep very nice and friendly cash trader". Thing is that this suspected alt account of his, the Ma Sniper (which provided him this rep of an unusual trade) has only 2.3 hours played tf2 hours http://gyazo.com/3d789b9e1983f82e071038b6b741a755 and the steam account itself is made only a bit less than a month ago (the other suspected alt account isn't old either)

2b) Secondly Neko was only buying unusuals, not selling them. This is because he didn't have any own unusuals. In other words this means that Ma Sniper sold an unusual to him. Now, does steam accounts with 2.3 hours played tf2 hours have unusuals not to mention that they would instantly sell it like a pro for cash?

    Screenshots:

    1) Proof of that neither of these suspected alt accounts have more than 2.3 and 5.4 respectively played tf2 hours, and proof of that these accounts have for example nearly identical names -> http://gyazo.com/3d789b9e1983f82e071038b6b741a755 http://gyazo.com/092ef716fd3a17ee3cac7872b3e15d4a

    2) Proof of Neko using the faked steam profile rep as a proof of his reliability -> http://gyazo.com/27fd911dad54677c1ca269f629581433

I probably didn't remember to list everything here but already this new proof should be enough for marking (at least until he clarifies himself). He has now also closed his tf2outpost trades, and his steam profile and backpack was also private for couple of days. After this "private session" I found a N&B Honcho in his backpack. Would like to see his item history. Most likely scammed it.

I think it's quite safe to say that my suspicions in this and in the old thread were right considering that the accused person has been permanently banned by Valve.

    A few things.
    1. Most of your screenshots are broken (in this thread and the old one).
    2. He isn't permabanned by Valve.
    3. There is no solid evidence here.

They could all be friends who play CoD together. Their names have those odd characters because it enable coloured names in-game.
I also can't get any IP matches anywhere.

http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198072034501 Looks most like an alt to me, but even then, there's nothing to prove that.

IF you can get any more evidence, please share it. If not, we can't really do anything.

I couldn't edit the post after two minutes. That's why there's a mistake.

He was permanently trade banned when I made this thread, and for around one month afterwards. Nowadays Valve seems to have mitigated his permanent trade ban into a trade probation.

Unfortunately the pictures have been deleted from gyazo's database before this case got reviewed (only recently found out that Gyazo has the problem of pictures getting deleted in ~ 2 months).

No can do. There's no much in here anymore but I would like to add that when I made this thread the evidence and proof was solid as a rock.

Well, I found some sort of evidence though I'm not sure if they are enough for anything remarkable. This evidence will, however, give some sort of picture of the guy.

Couple somewhat remarkable (and one not so remarkable) pissed traders at outpost posted http://gyazo.com/d108fa55d5889abebd00f60dbd28ca32.png?1353328281 http://gyazo.com/139d19d09b585cde7c3d1314a5a3e358.png?1353328337 in Neko's trade http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/5066487 about the fact that he didn't want to use any form of trusted Steam Rep or Source Op middleman even though he didn't have any form of cash reputation.

Then there's this http://gyazo.com/d832aa7bd5718aeebdc72bedc051cebf.png?1353328981 where Neko uses the only cash trade reputation he has (in my opinion clearly made by an alt of his) as a proof of his reliability. Here's a picture of the reputation note left (most likely by himself) in his profile http://gyazo.com/d7ee2acdf61bcff50ef1dd6b662efe3b

PS. I downloaded these pictures in SkyDrive in case of the pictures getting deleted before another review.

Not wanting to use a middleman does not prove that he will scam or has scammed. The guy sure is shady, and those two accounts may be his alts, but I can't pin them together.
We more or less need IP matches to prove they're the same person.

I believe that 76561198072034501 may be an alt, but I can't prove it.

I also noticed that both suspected alts are active and actively play CoD, along with the suspected scammer. They could be real life friends.

On a side note, I suggest using http://puu.sh/ to instant upload screenshots, it's reliable.

They indeed can be friends (especially the one who didn't post anything), but after all the accuse I made about Neko giving himself fake rep was just a side offense. The main offense was (and is) attempted scam/scam.

I'm aware of this but we need to keep in mind that neither the one month lasting trade ban, nor the ongoing trade probation came out of nothing. I would also like to define that he got these trade bans shortly after I made this thread.

What I'm trying to say in a nutshell is, that if you get trade banned by Valve for one month (followed by a permanent trade probation) you have had to do something severely wrong, and whatever the reason to this punishment was; it most definitely would be enough to get marked in Steam Rep.

Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to use that in the future :)

This isn't true at all. People get trade banned for minor things, such as having hijacked items pass through their account. I've seen this many times, this case could be no different.

Considering the prior suspicions and the prior evidence (from e.g the old thread) and the very shady behavior, which frankly speaking is only seen by scammers in tf2 market, it's in my opinion safe to say that this user got his bans from real reasons instead of being used by a hijacker etc.

Well, I understand that after much of my evidence disappeared, the evidence isn't enough to get him marked, though as I already mentioned I'm rather sure he got his bans out of scamming or attempting a scam. Future will tell if my suspicions were right or wrong.
