Hello everyone, this afternoon it was brought upon my attention that I had received a scammer tag and was marked as a "rawr scammer." When I went to rawr to see the explanation of me having received my scammer tag, the explanation was "trolling, and trying to scam some of the younger players." At first I thought it was absurd and might or might not have"trolled" due to the wide variation of the denotation of that meme. The ban was about a month ago, and what was weird was that I received the tag today, but there most certainly is no possibility nor any proof that I have scammed (several traders with large amounts of rep could vouch for me there) or have had any intention of scamming whatsoever. When I went over to the rawr forums to appeal my scammer tag, I appealed and asked for SOME FORM OF PROOF whatsoever that I did do such a thing, but the admin who responded was the very same admin who banned me and ADMITTED to having no evidence of any sort besides his "account," one-sided if I may add and denied the appeal without any evidence in the first place. In addition, I do not recall that event that he described in his reply to my appeal whatsoever and the ban was well over a month ago and there is quite the possibility that the admin had mistaked me with someone else as well. . . given the fact that he had no proof whatsoever. What I am respectfully asking for here is that my scammer tag be removed because I have been marked with this with no grounds of evidence whatsoever.
Attached is a screenshot of the appeal thread on rawr and the admin admitting to having no proof:

Also, these two screenshots are of my friend who talked to the person who banned me and in this scenario the admin that banned me (SIVARTZ) essentially accused me to my friend of what he called "scamming" which he later agreed to be sharking. Even IF it were true, I still do not deserve a scammer tag, at most a caution tag and that's WITH PROOF that I committed such a dastardly deed. Even so I find that scenario highly unlikely as I would never shark anyone at all (several reputable people can vouch for me here) let alone scam for a profit of a few keys (lawl) when I have items well in the 30 bud range and have gotten "loans" from friends worth well more than a few keys that I later paid off. Anyways, here is the screenshot of the chat my friend and the admin that banned me had:
note: the conversation starts off after my friend invited me to a three way chat and the admin left.

First off Squiggles does not speak for WA - he has a WA in his name but is not a member of our clan/private group.

    second....
If anything its a case of sharking - RAWR may keep you banned over there for whatever reason they wish, but sharking is not a scam and the tag shouldn't have been applied nor even a caution tag.

This should be a quickie turn around if someone takes a quick peak at it.

If anything that's sharking (well what the admin says you did). It's an obvious case of trolling. no scam happened...

You my friend are a predator. you pray on younger people.my advise is to keep you as a caution.and you will never get on RAWR again.and if they had a sharking tag, yours would be a great white.

First off, you have no proof whatsoever that I prey on little children whatsoever and I find the very thought of that repulsive; imo not even a caution tag should be applied to a claim with no supporting evidence whatsoever. Secondly I find the scenario you described highly unlikely as there is no point in someone like me with a 30+ bud bp to risk my reputation among the trading community for some 5 key item that is worth next to nothing to me. Thirdly, what you described was a sharking ATTEMPT, not a scam, which I was not involved in nor was there any proof to associate me with that indident, therefore I find that even a caution tag is undeserving. Lastly, I would just like to remind the viewers here that THERE WAS NO PROOF WHATSOEVER TO ASSOCIATE ME WITH THIS INCIDENT, and if the community just senseless tags be placed, then chaos would be amuck.

While sharking is greatly frowned upon, it doesn't warrant any SteamRep mark. Don't get me wrong, I hate sharking too. However, I believe that SteamRep simply does not have the manpower to handle sharking reports, and the line between sharking and scamming are blurred. They are instead handing them off to Mann Co. Trading and AceFortress.

    Found here (last post): http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/76561198070926821-xxmrklutchxx.11723/#post-39083

Maybe I'm just confused, but as stated in the quote, if you really want him solidly marked as a shark, you should head over to Mann Co. Trading ( http://manncotrading.com/index.php/board,21.0.html (You need to be logged in to see this page) ) or AceFortress ( http://forums.acefortress.com/forums/sharking-reports.54/ ).

Ok Sivartz, your making this worse for yourself, this mark was not a scam, it was a shark, and even if you can put it on mct or whatever, you have absolute NO PROOF of what you said happened but your own words. So this should of never happened. Also, you said to us that it happened a MONTH before you marked him, why mark him a month later for no reason but your own word, he never scammed. you cant deny proof like we have.

You have my apologies for the delay. We're very backed-up on appeals right now.

I'm going to downgrade this to a final written warning. I strongly advise you to review our policies/FAQ and have them memorized because this is the only benefit of the doubt you will receive. I'm very hesitant to overrule a community tag, but even they admit there's not enough proof for this. Yet, they worry you will scam or have scammed but cannot provide evidence. Normally a CAUTION is warranted in those cases, but I'm taking a gamble that you won't make anyone regret the decision, as I can't find any evidence or hint beyond alleged sharking attempts.

Good luck, and please stay out of trouble.
