Description: I had my backpack thread open on SourceOP saying I wanted to sell my backpack. Someone named "Mitt Romney 2012, please no." added me saying he'd pay $120 for it, I thought I might as well just take the offer. After we did that transaction with no issue, I was messaged by him a few hours later about a Cloudy Moon Voodoo Juju. I thought I'd buy it. So, I asked him how much it'd cost, and he went into details of how it wasn't listen on backpack.tf and whatnot, saying it was extremely rare and such, so we get to the point where I've agreed to send him $700 USD to his paypal account. He didn't have rep, and I did, so I went last, he traded it to me right away, and I sent the money afterwards. I didn't see a problem behind it, until I was added by The Ⓧperator (The person who had the hat originally). He went on to tell me about how the hat I had just purchased was stolen. I didn't believe him, assuming he could have just checked the history of the hat, and see that I was the other person on the list (Keep in mind, I never once checked the history, and when I checked it later, the scammer (Mitt Romney 2012, please no.) wasn't listed on the history. The Ⓧperator went on to report me to SteamRep, because he assumed I was an accomplice of this whole shenanigan. While I was on TF2-T, I was confronted by one of the admins, Kronkan, and he told me that I was now a marked SR Scammer, I tried to get him to tell me what I had done, but I wasn't sure. So, I went to my SteamRep and saw that I was marked for "scamming new unusual". I was then messaged by my friend BisBis D.Spooky and he was telling me how I could get my tags removed, because I wasn't the actual scammer. So, I'm here now, with evidence that I was in fact, not the scammer.

TL;DR: I got accused of scamming a hat, that I didn't know was stolen. I returned the hat.

I'd like to support this guy and I feel really bad for getting him so badly involved in this whole mess. Liquid is in total good standing and had made up for everything that went wrong, and I'm very grateful for it. I was mistaken in believing Liquid was an accomplice of the actual scammer (or for all I knew, an alternate account).
