The scammer in question was offering a Rust alpha account for 10 TF2 crate keys. I bought the keys and traded them to him, then he gave me the account info for Rust.

I did not know how to safely trade before getting screwed by this guy. My son checked him out and said he was legit obviously he was incorrect and did not know the proper format to trade either. I have attached the images from my steam account of the 10 TF2 keys this guy required for the trade and my account now void of the keys. The scammer in question has blocked my son and myself so I cannot recover the conversation logs to my knowledge.

Please at the least note in this guys info to be wary of trading with him, he ripped me off $20.

I wanted to add to this that the account works but he has sold the account credentials to multiple people so we are all knocking each other off the account and unable to play. I am certain he will continue to sell the account credentials duping more honest people trying to get into the game.

I'd just like to chime in that Account Trading is an invalid type of report here as trading accounts is a risky business in general, and is not covered by Valve due to it being third-party. Trading accounts is against (most if not all) games's terms of service and the traded accounts are grounds for banning.

Well the point of the post is that the guy is a scammer and should have his reputation shown as such.

I sincerely apologize for the wait. This case was extremely hard to investigate because we cannot prove or disprove that the Rust account was traded. The most I can do is mark him with a caution for a probable scam. I am terribly sorry that you were scammed and I thank you for the report.
