Description:
This user added me out of the blue and said they wanted to buy some valuable TF2 items I had on the market for $160. I told them I wasn't interested in dealing outside of Steam, but they were welcome to buy them off of the market. They replied that the deal would be entirely within Steam, I just had to take the items off of the market and deal through the new "Trade Offer" feature. When I pointed out that I was well aware that wasn't possible, they removed me. I can only assume that they intended to prey on people's unfamiliarity with the new trade process (along the lines of the old "/me has transfered $x to your wallet." scams) to scam items without actually sending money, and I figured it was worth a warning to the community here.
