Hey there.

I was accused of impersonating a Valve employee. The name that I was banned for was 'Val᠎ve GmbH. Ste᠎am Supp᠎ort'.

Taking a look at the name itself, it's clear that it was a joke. Valve is not a GmbH, since Valve isn't German/Austrian/Swiss or anything. A real scammer would not have shoved a ridiculous amount of buzzwords into his name either.

I only trade with friends or do small trades, like, a scrap for a weapon in TF2 or something like that. When I held that name, I don't think I even traded at all. Nobody was scammed and nobody was harmed.

I found out I was marked as a scammer only when a friend of mine who used to trade a lot in TF2 put up a comment going,

I didn't care at first because I was not a trader and I was not a scammer. However, since then, I've been banned by too many servers and sites to keep quiet. I've lost game items from these, even, due to some sites sometimes having a delay before a ban.

Why did I put on such a stupid name? Well, one day a friend and I were bored so we had fun putting our names to things like 'Support Rifleman', 'Steam Powered Train', 'Steam Valved Trains', 'Valve Steam Support' and other silly things like that just to see it get censored into '******* RIfleman' or something. Then my friend brought out some weird null character thing and we pasted it into our names to get past the censor. I held the name for about a week I think, playing mostly TF2 and Garry's Mod. Yeah, I guess that was a pretty immature thing to do, but it didn't harm anybody.

I don't have any alternate accounts since I'm not rich enough to buy games for multiple accounts and I don't have any reputation threads or anything because I'm not a trader or scammer or anything. I just play games and sometimes do some CS:GO betting. I can't now, since everything bans me for being banned from SR.

I know I put "No, this is my first appeal here" in the little checkbox thing, but I put it in the sense that it's my first time appealing in this form thing.

I swear though, if this just submits another thread, I am so, so sorry.


In summary, nobody was harmed, nobody was scammed. I changed my name as a joke to a name that was a hopefully blatant joke. In retrospect, it was a stupid, immature thing to do and I regret it now.​

Ah, dang. It really does submit a new thread. At least this is a whole lot prettier and less cringe-worthy than my old thread. Sorry about that.
