    Appeal description:
    Hello,
(This thread was made to appeal the marking of http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198054458724 in http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/76561198054458724.22027/)

I will be referring to http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198041967475 as 'ZIP' and to http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198041967475 as 'TIM'

On 10th of February, 2013 I was trading hats like I would on any other day, however this day would turn my 2 year career of TF2 trading into non-existence.

At that moment had 2 low tier unusuals and I have been trading low tier items such as craft hats and bill's. I also made a trading thread where I was looking to buy unusuals via PayPal (Tradelink: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8418701). Before that I have done about 7 PayPal trades involving some keys and all of them went without any issues.

On that day however, I was added by ZIP who wanted to sell me his whole backpack. He was willing to go first so I wasn't that worried about his new account and other stuff. His steamrep seemed fine as well so I was prepared to send him the money straight after I got the items, but right before I just glanced over his tf2op and I suddenly realized that he was a scammer. So I thought to myself, 'should I pay him and accept his unusuals or should I make him eat his own medicine?' I went with the second option.

Trade contents: http://imgur.com/a/Xc9EQ (some items show up twice)

Shortly afterwards, I was added by TIM who claimed that he has been scammed by ZIP. TIM wanted me to return the items ZIP scammed from him. I believed TIM as he had showed me proof such as trade history of his items and http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8498992
(which dates back to 8th FEB 2013, 2 days before I traded with ZIP) Therefore, within minutes of trading with ZIP, I gave back all of TIM's items to TIM.

    Proof: http://i.imgur.com/goW2kl8.jpg
(http://i.imgur.com/j3GWrv5.jpg - TIM's response in my thread for which I was marked for)

Trade History of TIM's unusual: http://i.imgur.com/OqxnnID.jpg

The rest of the items that weren't TIM's and had been given to me by ZIP were kept by me and I didn't return any further items to anyone else as no one had contacted me about ZIP scamming any other items.

To conclude this matter, I very much would like to say that I acted the way I did because I knew that ZIP was a scammer (at that moment he was marked as a scammer alt on tf2Outpost) and I wanted to make him suffer. Now this is obviously not the most appropriate things that could have been done, but I made this choice and I take full responsibility for it. I am very sorry for what I have done and I would be very thankful if the Steamrep staff would give me a second chance, as I would love to continue my TF2 trading career.

If any further proof is required, please say so in this thread or contact me via Steam.

    Thanks.

I did not handle that particular case nor do I agree with every decision ever made by other SR admins. I suggest you read the entire thread, nowhere does it say its OK to scam scammers, on the contrary, since we did not have a clear policy at the time, we made it clear going forward it would be treated as regular scamming. If that's your only justification for your actions, I see no reason to grant this appeal.

I couldn't find any rule regarding this apart from ("Anything that is deemed as deceptive or fraudulent trade activity by SteamRep admins")
It is not a justification, rather an observation that shows me that SteamRep admins interpret the rules however they think it's right.

That aside, I would like to ask you how do you think this appeal would be able to go forward, if forward at all.
