Is cheating in a game with a prize considered scamming?

    On my server we like do to games like server wide spy crabs and sharks and minoes. We award the winners prizes. If someone cheats in the game to win so they can get the prize is that scamming?

    Depends on what they do.

    On my server a common method is once we have picked the winner; a random user will change their name to that of the winners and trade and admin attempting to claim the prize-- I would believe this to be a scam...

    Add a plugin that denotes SteamID along with name and always have the winner trade YOU for the item then just take a moment to verify ID.
