    1. Not a question but a suggestion. On the steam profile page you have "Trade banned" and other types of bans listed. Is there some way of teaming up with steam rep and have "steamrep banned"
    1a. Are there any differences in strictness between steamrep and valve support bans? (besides it being official?)
    2. Do you ban sharkers at all? (a sharker changes the value of the item)
    3. Do you ever prosecute a scammer? There are some scammers who scam big time, then create new accounts and scam again, they do it over and over. They are stealing money after all.

    Does reporting someone (from his profile or from his steam page) really deserve something?
    I mean, if 50 persons report someone for cheating in 2 days, I hope you will scan his files deeper, but what if someone is reported for harassing or glitching by example?

    Users shouldn't be able to see what they are reported for?

    Oh god, questions for Derek, so many questions for Derek, this is so friggin' cool here's the first 11 that came to mind in no order.
    1. Why is it that not all items that are genuine promos make the drop list (e.g. homeworld hat - hero's hachimaki). Yes they're promotional, but some promos eventually make the drop list (are available via the drop system, in unique form without crafting).
    2. Are you ever going to give players who shop at the mann co. store the privilege of selecting the level for the item they want. e.g. "leave the store knowing your hat will be level 100, level 42, etc". I would buy so much more from the store if I had more control over what was being bought.
    3. Duplicates exist for a number of reasons, in particular when steam support restore hijacked items to an account. Why the decision to leave the original ID in there, why not restore the items with a fresh ID, and mark the stolen items as stolen.
    4. a) The new measures on trading being restricted to accounts which have steamguard enabled for 15 days is a step in the right direction, has this had the impact you expected on hijackings etc? (got any nice stats for us?) and what measures will valve be taking to improve account security further?
      b) Why do support accounts not require two factor authentication?
    5. Do reports submitted via the 'Report Violation' button ever actually get read?
    6. Can you do more to make promotional items available in all regions? Or avoid doing item promos for games where the publisher chooses to do regional releases? Or make it clear the same promos will be available when the game is available in other regions?
    7. What's the trigger for making hats tradable? Game release? Promo finished? If so, why isn't the robot chicken hat tradable yet?
    8. In the UK, theft is theft, whether the goods are intangible or not, handling stolen goods is also an offense, I'm sure you have better things to do, but does Valve ever plan to do some legal saber rattling at hijackers?
    9. Is it against Valve's T&C to own multiple accounts?
    10. - Is it against Valve's T&C to sign into multiple accounts to idle, or trade, on the same physical host using sandboxing software like sandboxie? I'm sure it's there somewhere, but people have been doing it for so long without any problem, it would be nice if you could clarify what's allowed and what's not allowed.

    Two questions:
    1. Why does Valve allow duplicated items to exist? Is it just a matter of it being too complicated to "undo" the chain of trade events once they're in the wild and have begun to circulate? Were there ever discussions about trying to remove the fake items when the offenses first happened? It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth that people were essentially able to get away with a 'virtual crime', with little to no repercussions.
    2. And this is not really an important question, but something I am just curious about... do the people who work in Steam support do so within the unorthodox Valve organizational structure? Or are they separate from the main Valve employees?

    - What are the most serious offenses that you guys dealt with and what punishments were befitted?
    - What exactly are the limits and conditions with the number of accounts tied to a credit card or person, if any still exist?
    - Any chance some of your tools will be made public in the future? (specifically, the ability to observe accurate item histories)
    - Are there offensive name and description tags that are punishable, much like decal tool items?
    - Are there certain ingame glitches/exploits serious enough to warrant punishment?

    Seriously Only SLOW email only that takes up to 2 weeks to get some kind of BOT like answers that wont help you at all..
    Like they are not reading what you write them at all!..

    Also whats up with the EMAIL support only ??

    Blizzard has . FAST email , Phone , In game

    And they read what you write them , not ignore everything you say and tell you "your´e f✿✿✿ed!"

    My question: Can steam start working together with community pages like Steamrep and backpack.tf?
    (Like when viewing at players profile, there would be a sign of is it trustable or is it a scammer. Or looking an item at TF2 and under the descrption there's the price of it.)

    1. Is there way to change password without Steam Guard reset? I've heard people can't trade for 15 days because they switched from PC to mobile.
    2. How do I see for how much days my or someone else Steam Guard is active?
    3. I got 'thanks' for reporting someone steam profile or steam group, I reported a lot of porn pictures or nazi groups, and only one was banned by report (I don't even know who is banned), do you read all the reports or most of them put aside forever?

    1) Changing a password without steam guard reset kinda defeats the purpose of steam guard and would make hijackings easier.
    2) There's no legitimate need to see other people's steam guard status, other than to facilitate carrying out a hijacking, or gathering targets with scripts.

    That issue is completely unrelated to valve. The vast majority of changes change in game brightness through applying a custom gamma curve through drivers, which overrides custom color profiles if they exist.

    I just wanted to comment on your question #1
    Let's say someone trades you an earbud for 26 keys. You give them 26 keys for the earbuds. One day later you find out the earbuds you got were from from a hijacked account.
    If valve gives the item back to the original owner, you just lost 26 keys. Unless if valve creates a way to undo every single trade (imagine you resold those buds to someone else), dupe seems like the easiest way to do things.

    When will Steam allow the "Steam-money trades"? Buying unusuals for Steam Wallet etc... Will you just make an item out of wallet funds which can be inputted in a trade window? Or are you going to focus more on the "Market" part for these kind of transactions?
    We all know it will happen at a certain point, so I am just wondering how they will allow it, and how they will it make as "scam free" as possible.

    I've heard some competitive players use transparent viewmodels. I'd like to give it a try. I've heard rumors that one could get VAC banned for doing so.
    Is this the case?

    Those forums/screenshots may be out of date, but I believe once confirmed this can be done without being VAC banned, more will make these plugins/skins.

    Valve will respond, for they introduced that clients can only load "signed" plugins, so finding a loophole to get a dll loaded by the game is prolly a pretty bad idea. I wouldn't risk it, for the ways they can go with it are pretty broad from banning all ppl with it, to just update the game, or combinations.

    also, the dll doesn't necessarily be put there at starting the game, but still be available in the GCF's.

    My advice: stay as far away as possible from it.
