What happened? Description:

Retro added me after I listed a trade on Dota2lounge and TF2outpost. Ended up offering a large amount for my items. After offering to use a steamrep middleman, he linked two profiles (that I'm fairly certain aren't verified middlemen). When I insisted on using a steamrep verified middleman, after even offering to pay any fees (so from his perspective there is no downside), he immediately went offline (unfriended me).
Very suspicious behavior and I see he has two previous unconfirmed reports. I don't see how this at all can be a logical chain of events for him if he was intending to buy the items without attempted scam.
