Description:
I'm an admin of the FTLgaming trade server on TF2. I recently was notified of an attempted scam on a player on our server going by the name of "soldierX". He was saying that he was selling steam games for items, one of which the player, named "MarshMallowMan234, was interested in. They traded, and soldierX wanted him to give him the items for trade first, and that he would give him the game afterwards via steam, and not in the trade. MarshMallowMan234 refused and asked for a middleman trade instead, but soldierX refused and tried to assure him that he wasn't a scammer. He switched servers after the trade was cancelled and changed his name to "mYbe", and MarshMallowMan234 then came to me and told me of what happened (he took a video and copied the chat), so I'm reporting it here.
