What happened? Description:

DISCLAIMER: He didn't manage to fool me into accepting the trade as I was already aware of his methods to taking advantage of others via the steam trading window, so this was an attempt not a successful scam. I didn't lose anything but time from this.

He tried to pull the old switcheroo on me in the trade window, as if the steam scammer warning didn't give it away. As shown in the screenshots he tried to get me to remove one of my items so he could remove his butterfly knife out of the trade window. As of now I still have him added however I'm assuming he blocked me as he won't respond to me. One particular thing that stood out is the fact that he still has the items in his inventory, he hasn't swapped them to a new account which leaves me to believe he doesn't have alternate accounts to swap said items to. Lastly, I'd like to apologize to the steamrep admins for dumping more reports on them with the amount of bulk and work that it must take to maintain the forums but I also inquire for them to take a look into this case before someone else falls victim to this scammer.​

Please excuse my use of language and hate, however I have a strong distaste for these kinds of people and how they attempt to take advantage of others luck, fortune, and hardwork. I did censor one particular phrase I used within the chat as I thought it probably wasn't very appropriate to be posting on a public forum, sorry in advance.

As you can see he asked me to add and remove items within the initial chat agreement and within the trade window, its clearly visible that he is attempting to quickswitch and obtain my items without trading the butterfly knife. Overall, thank you so much for reviewing my report!​

It appears someone on the quickswitchers friends list has magically obtained the butterfly knife shown within the attempted quickswitch scam. Not to mention the fact that not only is the quickswitcher no longer online whilst this person is but they both have VERY similar friendslists. I'd also like to point out that the account that is now in possession of the same exact same knife the quickswitcher had is not only very wealthy within his inventory but also has an account trade banned with 5 friends who are also trade banned (http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198043861093). I'll leave some screenshots circling SOME of the friends they have in common, my assumption is that either this guy is willingly trading with a scammer or (more likely) an alternate account of said scammer. I'm sure that if I really felt the need to I could tie a lot of the items from his inventory as well as the reported account on his friends or alternate accounts back to trade bans and reported scams on this website, however I'll leave that to the moderators and administrators.

On a side note one of the profiles shown on both the accounts (http://steamrep.com/search?q=http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198041693329/friends/) friends list not only has again, similar friends on their friends list but also a pending report for you guessed it, quickswitching. I'm guessing that this guy is also associated with the scammer(s) as he's playing with them right now on CS:GO in the same lobby and on the friends lists of multiple accounts.

My conclusion, these people or person is responsible for a number of trade scams, probably more than I can count on both my hands. This needs to be dealt with ASAP, I'm going to assume that the reported user and or the accounts I have mentioned previously are probably going to have their friends lists and inventories wiped in a couple hours if not within a day seeing as I've probably uncovered the most obvious scam ring I've ever encountered. If a moderator could mark this ready for review so an admin can take a look I'd highly appreciate this as steam trading could use a little less scum. Thanks for reviewing my additional information!

Edit: God, you won't believe another friend (http://steamrep.com/search?q=http://steamcommunity.com/id/IAmZeSenpai) on both the accounts friendslist who ALSO has a pending report for you know it, quickswitching. Not to mention this guy is also on both the previous accounts mentioned prior to this edit and also has almost identical friendslists as well as quite the wealthy inventory. If an admin or moderator wasn't tending to these cases before they need to now as there's 3+ active scammers with pending reports. Again, I'l highly appreciate if an admin marked this ready for review or at least archived this report for information once these people undoubtedly get reported again. I'll leave screenshots of this guys friendslist and inventory below as well.

Ah I missed a couple of screenshots of both inventory and friendslists, here's Jebus' inventory which just had a knife in it before moving to one of the unreported accounts and Davadava's inventory which still currently has scammed goods in it. I plan to go through each of the reports on the previously mentioned accounts and see if there's more scammers or information I missed before these accounts remove eachother and clear they're inventories to another account, since it seems like they're moving a lot of high value goods around from account to account. I'll update with another post hopefully soon!

Edit: There's so many related accounts, trade banned accounts, and reported accounts between these people that it makes my stomach sink and my head hurt. It mentally hurts thinking of all the pain these animals have caused, I have faith steamrep staff! I'll update once a moderator or admin responds to my previous posts and evidence and again, thanks for reading through my report!

Stuff has been moving around in the inventory (probably to alternate accounts for quickswitches) I'll take a look at the other accounts and check for more pending reports. But with all these new high tier items its looking like they're making new additions to this particular inventory, even the knife they tried to quickswitch me with has been moved around. My guess seeing as after talking with people who have been scammed by this particular group of scammers, is that they're holding all if not most of the stolen knives on this account as well as the knives they're using to quickswitch with. After asking another user filing a report on one of the scammers in a previous report if these are the same knives, they have not only stated that the knives originally used to quickswitch them are there but also their own. I'll post an updated picture of their inventory with the scammed goods, the knife that the scammer originally attempted to scam me with (moved, probably to quickswitch scam more on numerous accounts), and the knives used to quickswitch other users who have reported scammers within this scam ring. Thanks again steamrep staff team!

Also found some sort of wierd group they have some of the alternate scam accounts in (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/bonrullarklubben) Bönrullarklubben, with a rough google translation from Swedish to English is translates to something like "Prayer Rolls Club" not quite sure what that's about. That's all I got for now at least, good luck I guess!

Well, as it seems a day after my initial report he's removed everything from his inventory and privated his profile. Guess he saw my report and how I caught him and all his pals. If anything they're just contributing to the amount of evidence posted here as well as on other reports on the same user(s). I'll keep you posted if I discover anything else or find anymore evidence to determine these are the users responsible, even though its more than obvious at this point. Good luck guys!

Well after not finding much else I looked around at the accounts I previously reported and found that this user (http://steamcommunity.com/id/IAmZeSenpai) who was reported previously for scamming another knife has added 2 of the scammed knives from the originally accused account to his, proving that they're associated with each other. I leave screenshots below as well as a link to the previous steam reports of the scammed goods in his inventory. As for the locations of the other stolen goods, I'll keep searching though I wouldn't be surprised if I found more accounts with the same if not similar friends lists with more of the stolen goods within them. Again, thanks for sticking with my rather long report, keep up the good work steamrep staff!

Well, after all of this I can't seem to find anymore evidence to this day. If this isn't enough evidence then an admin can go ahead and archive this report because I can't seem to find anything else on this scam ring. Have a nice day guys!

Well, DAVAI DAVAI still has 2 scammed knives in his inventory, both of which were mentioned in previous reports on this group of scammers, the scam group still exists and none of the accounts have left or been changed, and Jebus no longer has any scammed items. Honestly, I've got nothing left to put into this report so either an admin can look into it or just archive the report. I have a feeling that this scammer group has already gotten away with the dozens of stolen items they had before, not to mention the account with the majority of said scammed goods is now privated. Thanks for taking my report into consideration however I think this is probably going to be my last post in this thread since there's been no response from the staff since the report was marked ready for review. never give even a bit of mercy to scammers, do not even ask for the original offer, scammers are greedy for knifes, they want more and they will never give their items out, I have tried scamming once and i am very glad it failed, I never tried again and i knew how big f✿✿✿✿✿✿s they were, and the worst thing is.........
