Okay so Andrea Pirlo just added me again after we came to a disagreement over a potential trade. I was asking a B/O on my Goggles for 4 buds. He said it was too much . Okay. Then he starts accusing me of having a "friend" who is offering more which will make him buy it from me? He then says "have to report this" which i didn't take seriously because what was there to report? I mean the only thing I was doing wrong was maybe asking too much for my Unusual at 4 buds lol.

Then he shows me this page and this other user named oakman's chat log with him. As I read through it it shows him looking to pay a heck of a lot more then I was asking. Seriously if he was my friend I would have taken that up straight away. Obviously it was a huge coincidence that was taken out of proportion. Regardless, if you mods decide to look past this coincidence I still believe the offense I am facing is in fact not an actual offense.

Although I am admitting to nothing because I know this is just a misunderstanding...but where was the "scam"? This oakman says he will over pay for an item that I have so the buyer Andrea Pirlo will want to jump on this steal and make profit. He is a small table of what is going on here:

    Key:
    Seller A: A
    Seller B: BPotential Buyer: C

A offers C a large offer that C can't turn down even though he doesn't have the product in need. B offers to sell the needed product to C for the asking price. C buys the product from B and sells it to A to gain profit.

Conclusion: The person wanting to make the most profit is C, the potential buyer. He is duping both A and B into the sell so he can profit. C must also rely on A and B to stick out the deal so only he can profit from both of their losses.

This is not a scam it is a classic marketing sniper approach which is used in business day in and day out.

This is what I have been accused of. I take no part in approaches like this buy I do make myself well aware of them so I can in fact avoid them.

    Thank you for your time.

Classic bait and switch scam. Pirlo pays the 4 buds in hope of the 7 bud offer and when the unusual is bought at full price the offer is magically retracted. This isn't a marketing technique but just a mere act of desperation.

This is actually an old trick. In the early stages of trading I came across this one time before hand where a person would say selling an unusual for a v. engi cap. A person would trade them saying they have it. The person with the unusual would say "Sorry I meant non vintage" then his friend would come by offering his nv engi cap for 4 ref. After the trade, the both disappear.

If you don't know the Oakman, then why do I have definitive proof that shows promos moving in between accounts? Promos that originated in your account, were moved to his, and then back into yours?

    Evidence here: http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/report-76561197999044227-jassinlive.4696/ .

Again, care to comment on the above evidence?

Other evidence relating to a similar scheme, however, with different items. Are you telling me that coincidentally both Oakman at this time was looking for a scorching heavy hat and you coincidentally had one to trade for mine, and you both coincidentally added me to make a trade? Are you saying you both also coincidentally added two other people to make a very similar offer?

Here are some more relevant screenshots relating to this case.

I am still wanting an excuse to how this is a scam.

-Both users trade and receive items
-Both users agree to what is being exchanged
-The values play no part in the default TF2 trading client

It is evident that the traders are both looking for profit no matter what and by doing this they turn a blind eye to the old saying If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

To answer your questions this is not a scam because I am giving exactly what they are asking for.

Greed. It is a powerful tool in the trading industry.

All I did was abuse a flaw that was in this system. In no way did I do something that broke the Terms and Conditions on Steam.

I am looking forward to seeing the result of this accusation.

The terms and conditions of Steam don't cover scamming. SteamRep is based on a community effort to have scammers marked.

The definition of 'scammer' according to SteamRep is as follows:

Yes, you deceived a person into believing he's going to profit by using a dummy account which is offering him more.

Technically no. Nothing was stolen. It was traded.

Yes, because you know fully well that you're in 'control' of the two accounts and that the person won't get the second trade. You've repeatedly lied in this report about not knowing the other account that's offering the promos. You're aware of what would happen after the trade.

Yes, as you've made obvious, you're using two accounts. One is a dummy. You're manipulating a person into making a terrible trade in order for you to profit.

You've lied throughout the course of our interaction, and throughout this report.

    >Yes, you deceived a person into believing he's going to profit by using a dummy account which is offering him more.
Like I said, this is a standard tactic and I have broken no rules. Sure, what I have been accused of is morally wrong but alas, no rules have been broken.

    >Technically no. Nothing was stolen. It was traded.
So why even bring this up?

    >Yes, because you know fully well that you're in 'control' of the two accounts and that the person won't get the second trade. You've repeatedly lied in this report about not knowing the other account that's offering the promos. You're aware of what would happen after the trade.
Where is the proof? A few screen caps of this person I stumbled across in the community? And at what point did I "manipulate" anyone? By the looks of it each person was given a choice to drastically increase their profit ratio by taking a risk.
I haven't lied once in this report because I still stand corrected as someone being accused for "scamming" when in fact they are just amazing coincidences. I still therefore please my innocence.

    >Yes, as you've made obvious, you're using two accounts. One is a dummy. You're manipulating a person into making a terrible trade in order for you to profit.
I have already explained that I have no connection with this other person or his account. In the future please provide evidence that this is in fact a "dummy account" in which I am in control of.

    >You've lied throughout the course of our interaction, and throughout this report
Again, I have explained my case.

These entire accusations overlap and repeat themselves. Unless you have evidence to support these accusations (and by that I mean more then a few screen caps) then I suggest you get your facts right.

Oh and you accused me of "manipulating" the people in this scenario whereas manipulating gives the intention that the person has no choice and that you are making it for them. I am sure the users were in complete control when they thought they were going to get an exceptional profit when they traded for those items wouldn't you say?

Now please if you wouldn't mind I would like a verdict from the admins.

What evidence is necessary? I have proof that the items moved from your account into Oakman and back into your account. Can you explain why this happened?

As you can see, promo items can be seen moving into and from Jassinlive's account, despite Jassinlive claiming not to have known the person. Other relevant screenshots relating to my scam report are above.

I'll explain myself a bit further.
Jassinlive has repeated said he doesn't know about Oaklive. He's said that he would've just made the deal with Oaklive had he known about the account at all. OP has provided a screenshot that would suggest that this is false. Had this happened once, this might be less clear cut. However, this has happened on three separate occasions. In three separate occasions both Oak and Jassinlive have approached the same trader. Every time Jassinlive has offered a hat of lower value, and Oak has been after the hat that Jassinlive is offering to the trader. In all three occasions, they have been 'unaware' of one another's existence. The screenshots that have been provided would suggest otherwise. My screenshot illustrates that the promos moved from Jassinlive's account into Oak's account and then back into Jassinlive's. This, couple with the fact that Oak, at the time my screenshot was taken, had only 0.5 hours played and a creation time of the 23rd of May, would suggest that Jassinlive has at very least funded Oak. In 1 of the attempts, the scorching mongolian which was originally offered to me was traded for a purple energy ze goggles with this person: http://steamcommunity.com/id/lilwhitts/. The correspondence I've had with that person suggest that this attempt was tried on him, and he fell for it. Then, what was offered to OP changed from what was offered to me. Instead of a scorching mongolian, Oak was now after a purple energy ze goggles. The same pair of ze goggles that Jassinlive happened to have.
I find it very hard to believe that on 3 separate occasions neither Oak nor Jassinlive were aware of one another offering hats that the other wanted, while providing a gross overpay.

Also, Oakman referred to Jassinlive as to 'Jay' rather than the name he alias at the time which was 'Elsont1ter' : http://i.imgur.com/1CGM7.jpg

This suggests not only that Jassinlive is lying about not knowing about Oak, but also suggests that they've had enough correspondence with enough for Oak to refer to him by a name that he didn't go by at the time.
