What happened? Description:

Saw his trade (Spine Chilling Skull) on Trade.Tf, added him, he needed a gift wrap, I bought one and took 5 ref and 2 hats/miscs as ransom and he proceeded to remove me.​

Oops!~ Wasn't a paypal scam!!! Was just an item scam!

Actually not a scam, he gave you fair price in ref. and items for the giftwrap. Really all you have to do is sell the hats and items and buy another giftwrap back.
That was your reasoning behind making him put items up for the price of the giftwrap. If he left the trade then you had not lost anything.
I am going to archive this report, there is just not enough evidence to continue with it.
