Description: Had an offer on my unusual batters helmet with the stormy storm particle effect for $100. I was only selling the hat for cash at the time and I told the user I would get back to him. I then received a second offer for $150. I told the original user (no taco for you/scammer) that I would sell that hat to him for $175. He linked me to his steamrep and he seemed trustworthy so I traded him the hat and he logged off. Absolutely livid right now.

It seems as though you dealt with an impersonator who linked to the actual guys' profile. Very sorry to hear this happened to you, but the real trader is not at fault, his impersonator is.

Notice it says tacos on the scammers.

In the future I would never trade with private profiles exactly for this reason. It is so easy to copy their name and profile image and rarely do people check custom URLs, etc.
