What happened? Description:

Random adds me asking to buy buds for paypal. We talk a bit and I say that I only accept MoneyPak. He agrees to use MoneyPak. The thing with MoneyPak is that you can only buy it in a physical store. So he comes back 10 minutes later and says he has a MoneyPak code. I check SteamRep and he has a pending report as a PayPal scammer.

I insisted on using a middleman, but none of the SteamRep MM were online. Scammer says I can use a trusted friend, so I found an admin from the TF2-T community. (P-Easy http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198042816251/)

Scammer asked to invite everyone into a group chat. We discussed details briefly. The scammer had a MM impersonator direct trade me via my steam URL; and asked for my items.

I called the scammer out, on this being a fake middleman and he left the group chat (but didn't delete me.) Unfortunatly when I left the group chat, it destroyed the individual chat I had with the scammer. I have a screenshot from before, but don't have a text dump.​

Unfortunately the chat got wiped out. When I invited the MM to a group chat, my individual chat with the scammer became the window of the group chat. When I closed the group chat window, it took the chat history, but I have most of it screencapped.​
