    Scam Report

Report Type: [Item Fraud] Misrepresenting virtual items
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198071414999

    Victim profile: 76561198028462766

    What happened? Description:
I wasn't scammed, but his apparent attempt at misrepresenting the value of his gun by a large amount deserves a report, in case he might try something more extreme next time.

Radekrad saw my csgo keys in my inventory, and added me to offer a " very rare csgo skin". He first claimed that it was probably around $200, and when I questioned it's actual worth, he said it's worth $30/€25. As of writing this, the actual worth is $0.39 He wanted a couple of keys for it. Screenshot shows the conversation. He kept inviting me to trade complete a trade, none that I accepted though.

Screenshot also shows that there could only be one "rare" skin that he was refering to. Gun in question: http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/730/Souvenir MAG-7 | Irradiated Alert (Field-Tested)

As a last attempt he said that someone offered 10 keys for the skin, and acted like he was ready to leave. Probably trying to get me to jump on it at the last moment. After a minute, he acts like he just realized what the actual worth is.

Hello, as first I want to apologise for this situation, it was half past 6 in Poland and I haven't slept this night, so my brain wasn't working properly. When I have written 25 or 30, I meant 0,25 or 0,30 (it was something around it this day), the 10-keys offer was a fake, as you can see at the bottom of the screen. I also tried to apologise (my last word on the screen). If You could give me a chance, I won't trade whem I'm tired and I promise it will never happen again, I'm on Steam for 2 years and never tried to do such things, I always try do be polite and nice. Everyone makes mistakes, so please understand my situation and give me a chance.

There is no law that says you can't overprice something. But if you in fact tried to make the victim believe that your item was a higher priced item; then that is misleading and frowned upon. 2014-10-24_1308.png He states here that he did not know the value of said item but it was a souvenir so it must be worth alot. I suggest that @Radekrad needs to research the prices of items before trying to trade someone. I dont see this as a scam attempt, trying to shark you maybe but not a scam.
    Archiving.
