What happened? Description:

Reporting this on behalf of NewOssa, as I was involved in this too.

NewOssa was added by the user yammyHIHI, as he wanted to buy his Unusual Bonk Leadwear.
Ossa called me over to a group chat with the guy, and he asked that Ossa gives his Unusual hat to me.

He did, and after he checked that I have the hat, he left the chat and called over his friend who named himself NewOssa. (with a dot at the end), and wanted to trade his hat to me.

After I've taken the screenshots, both of them fled and ran in fear.​

I entered the group chat, and yammy tells Ossa to give his Unusual to me.
He gives it to me

And after that trade, yammy left the chat where me and the real Ossa is in.
(as seen in the screenshot before the trade completed one)

In the chat that I was with yammi, he invites his friend who impersonates NewOssa and invites me to trade.

After I tell them that I screenshot this all, they both flee.

When I asked if NewOssa had a chatlog with yammyHIHI, he said he didn't take screenshots.

Knowing the SteamRep rules, this would usually put this in an "Archived" state, but I'd still like to get this out there, that there are 2 scammers going around, trying this cheap trick into stealing expensive items.​

Yop tried to do the same thing with me.
I'm used to that kind of scammers though so it didn't go that far.

Seems that the acquaintance has been trade banned by Valve

Same thing here. Though I always check their profiles before trading unusuals.

This guy tried to scam a friend of mine with the same method and i was choosed as middleman. Fun thing is that later he tried to scam another friend of mine who choosed again me as middleman but he kept going on even before i told him we know what he was actually trying to do and that possibly we would have made a report here on steamrep. He really deserves to be banned.
