What happened? Description:

This user added me in response to a TF2 Outpost trade in which I was selling my Specialized KS Kit. He asked me how much I was looking for and I said a key. He agreed, offering a Strange Dead Ringer and 1 refined metal, after I'd asked him to add the latter. He also added a Strange Eyelander and asked me if I wanted to buy it. I said no, to which he responded in chat that he would remove it and then I should click ready. As I suspected, he was attempting a quick-switch, as when I looked at the Dead Ringer again, he'd switched it out for a regular one. I canceled and told him I'd report him, and that was it. He then said "he was kidding" and I just blocked him.​

Hi all,

I have just joined to let you all know this guy has just tried the same (experiment as he called it) thing on me. As I buy quicksells I went along with it.

1. He offered to sell me a S.Dead Ringer for 5 refs (alarm bells)
2. He then also asked to buy a S.Atomiser for the going rate.
3. Just before he clicked he did the OLD SWITCH AROO and replaced it with a regular Dear Ringer.

I had the chat but copied over it with his name to find him again.

I have blocked all dealings with this scum bag.

I had heard of this person and his alt account doing this so was actually bored and wondered if there was any merit to this person doing this quickswitch scam. I believe the chats and picture provided will be conclusive proof, plus his admission that he has done this in the past. I sent this info to my husband who promptly banned him and his one alt account that has reports for doing the same thing.

You ill notice in the trade window he added, then switched the items as he was chatting me up. Just wanted to clear that up.
