What happened? Description:

He added me, and said that he would give me $120 for my Bayonet Night (Battle-Scarred).

I didn't trust him at first. but then I checked his profile, and he had 7 pages of +rep, and on CSGO lounge, he had 13 reps.

After a VERY long convo (which I did not capture all of it, but I got the end where he scammed me), I finally gave in. I gave him my only knife, my prized item. Then he went offline, deleted me, and put his profile as private.

I'm so sad, and nervous, I really want my item back. He's going to trade it away / sell it. I don't know what I should do!​

Well, you probably shouldn't bump your thread here, mods don't take kindly to it, just a warning.
Nor to mention 15 minutes is very short time to bump your thread.

Can you expand your steam chat and make a better screenshots by any chance?
Also, you need your paypal history (all payments tab, up to a previous month) and your inventory history in full window, so mods can see its yours (don't forget to wipe out your account login!)

There is no way to get the chat history unless you somehow get him to accept your friend request and even then the chat history usually doesn't go back very far

Do not bump your thread, it will not make the mods look at your post any faster.

ok. so what happens when the mods do find out he is a scammer? can i get my knife back, or is it gone forever? Also, he un-privated his profile, and my knife is no longer there.

You can send a ticket to Steam support but they probably won't do anything since you were trading for items outside the trade window which they warned you about when you clicked the confirm button
