    What happened? Description:
    I wanted to trade a steam gift for my friends steam library and found the guy on csgolounge. he has donated and had enough +reps on his profile. we got into chat and he gifted me the game first. i paid him exactly 10 counter-strike keys. however 2 days, i received a message that he or his friend cheated on the purchase system and the gift got deleted.​

    Please provide a full screen shot of your Trade Inventory History for last few days to present (NOT TRADE OFFER!!)- open this with a web browser, move your mouse over the users name in question so it shows up the hypertext popup URL at the bottom of the screen - take the screen shot DO NOT edit it in anyway and upload.
    Also a full screen of game history.
    As noted full screens - its hard to accept screen shots cropped down.

    If you view his profile here you will see there is already a prompt showing "pending report" the idea is to educate others and give them the searching tool to see it and decide for themselves if they wish to trade with this person OR you for that matter.
    SteamRep is not Valve - we can't trade ban someone.

    i expected more than that but it's a first step. unfortunately the steam customer support and care is terrible, people can just scam other with gift copys and cancel the payment later. and steam is supporting them.

    Well if you look around there are a few thousand reports we have here to go thru...it takes time from a group of users that give their free time for this.
    I can't speak for Valve... they have their own ways of doing things. SR is setup to educate - that part is done with the report as I said so someone can decide if they wish to trade or deal with this user or you.
    As for reporting to valve you can use this method too

    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT

    thanks for the tutorial but i'm used to it. it's just sad they choose this easy way and support those guys with that. i've reported him already with the same screenshots but they simply don't care.
