    Report Type: [Item Fraud] Misrepresenting virtual items

    Accused profile: 76561198046970986

    Victim profile: 76561198097972852

    What happened? Description:
    The accused asked if I wanted to trade my knife and asked me to look at their inventory and sent me a link to it but it wasn't for their inventory, I't belonged to someone with the same steamname.​

    Provide Evidence:
    The accused asked if I wanted to trade my knife, which I wanted, so they told me to look over their inventory but sent a link to it. I looked at it and saw that they hade many knifes, pages and pages of them. I asked them about that but they just said that they were a collector and won some on lottery. I know a lot of scammers use a link to their inventory as a way of scamming so I asked them to make their inventory open for friends. They tried to come up with excusess like the inventory was down. First of all, it wasn't, just delayed, and secondly, they don't need to access inventory to make it veiwable, they only need to access their profile. After I said that to them they unfriended me and went offline right away.

    I then looked at their list of games because it only said 3 games and I noticed that they had a lot of free to play games but didn't even own csgo. After that I saw that they had 1 group that were called reputation thread so I look in that and noticed that someone else had writen in there that the same person scammed their friend using them as a middleman. (I know that that doesn't do anything in mine but just wanted you to know why I believe they are a scammer.)

    I also clicked on the profile of the person that the inventory belonged to and they had the same streamname but this was their steamID64: 76561198143877091. As you can see it isn't the same and they didn't even have the same badge featured. View attachment 496625
