    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198208580561

    Victim profile: 76561198185918041

    What happened? Description:
I wanted to sell these ★ Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box that I had unboxed 1 week ago.
I thought I found a real seller with the name RealFr33k who offered $800.
I thought this was a good trade for me so I traded with him.
I looked at his profile which said +rep.
Now, he told me he would send the money on paypal.
Immediately after getting the gloves, he disconnected and blocked me.
I am not sure what to do and hope I can get my items back.
As this is my second time being scammed, I wish to get my items back.
After looking at his inventory, I realise he probably sold them or traded them in fear of being caught.

    Provide Evidence:
View attachment 519953 This is proof of the trade to him
View attachment 519954 This is the bottom part of our chat, at the end he disconnected and removed me as a friend (and I think he blocked me).
View attachment 519955 This is the middle part where I exchange emails and he ensures that he will pay with paypal.
View attachment 519956 This is an earlier part where I begin to trust him because he traded with my friend MB (who also got scammed).
View attachment 519957 There have been no money exchanged between him and me (he did not send me the money he promised)
View attachment 519958 He removed me from friends list (Steam in alphabetical order, showing he's not in game, online or offline)
View attachment 519959 View attachment 519960 Here is a before and after picture of the trade (before showing the trade, after showing his profile that I clicked on)

Did you even look here to find that the user was already banned/tagged?
Will need a FULL screenshot of your trade inventory history showing this trade - open in web browser, hover your mouse pointer over users name so it shows up the URL at the bottom. I'll also need a FULL screenshot of your paypal activity for last several days to present. FULL screens on both do not edit or crop either!

Horse, what are the chances of me getting my gloves back from this scammer?
I am just really worried as his scam cost me around $500.
    ~ Thanks Caasig

If I were to get my items back, how long do you think it would take valve to respond and give me back the item.
I would just like to know a timeframe of when I can hope for something back :(

    @Caasig
Ok well for starters when I said most likely not - the only chance would be if the user decides to appeal the tag here they are required to pay back their victims.
Since the user was already tagged for something else I hardly see that happening. Had you taken the time to research who you talk to/trade with you would have seen this and it may have saved you. You said you were already scammed before so I'm sure you knew about Steamrep before this instance.
Valve will not return your items - they stopped as of March 9th of last year.

In any event I've just added this not to the users profile - be sure to report them to Valve if you haven't already.
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT
