    Included data in the data:
    • Usernames
    • Hashed passwords
    • Security questions and answers
    • Phone numbers
    And probably other information.

If you have a Yahoo (email) account, I'll advice to:
    • Change your password
    • Remove the age-old "security questions" (Yahoo on that page even advises you to do so, maybe only if you have phone number connected). Or if you prefer these or need them instead of a attached phone number, change the security questions to something else.
    • Review all security settings, and make sure those are all verified (no exclamation marks etc)
    • Be aware that phishing attacks may (have) be(en) occurring onto your mail.

    To change your password:
    1. Go to the Yahoo Account Info page.
    2. (Mobile web browser only) tap the Menu icon .
    3. Click Account Security.
    4. Click Change password.
    5. Enter and confirm your new password.
    6. Click Continue. - A confirmation appears.
    7. Click Continue to finish.
As this happened some time ago already, its rather urgent you review past actions with emails too.

I can confirm that. It is advised if you have a phone attached or 2FA on.

Depending on the age of the account and how long you didn't access it, Yahoo will deactivate/delete the account, unless you are a paying account user, then they will forever keep it open till you stop paying + x months.

Well, ya know... better late than never. They probably didn't even realize they were compromised until 2 years after the fact.
