I really hope this gets accepted. This is a new form of scamming (new to me at least) and is very tough to document.

I see a guy in a server. Paying 5 buds for Vivid Dapper (We'll call him http://steamcommunity.com/id/Jerryspringerinthehouse// because that's his f✿✿✿✿✿✿ link. We'll call him Digital Pirate for now). I PC it, it's 2 buds. Sweet! I go and buy one from this scammer listed. He wants 3.5 which I pay. THE EXACT MOMENT that the trade is done, Digital Pirate says "nonono i want scorching i have a friend selling for the same price". Only problem is that I never told him of Darkly or the fact that I was buying from him. I say no, I bought the vivid. He asks how much I pay, I say 3.5. He says okay but cause it's vivid and he wants scorching he'll give me 4.7. Whatever. We go into trade and he puts up 4.77 REFINED METAL. I say, "What the f✿✿✿, these aren't buds". He responds in the trade window "well if these aren't buds what are" then instantly removes me, changes his name, Steam Link, Location, name, and more. He made his profile temporarily private. I ask if I can trade Darkly back. Of course not. I offer to add sweets. He says I'M a shark and scammer. I'll attach chat links to everything I have. Waterboy is Digital Pirate's alias.

They are not friends nor were they in the same server. Now they're both private I think.

So they were two different people that you found on your own accord?

I searched on outpost for someone who had a vivid dapper. Found only one.

    Damn, I feel so sad.

Sorry to say but, it's not really a scam if you sought out some guy and overpaid for his hat simply on the possibility of another trade with someone completely different. If someone random added me and agreed to overpay for something then came back later saying to trade back and threatening to report me for scamming, I'd probably remove them too.

The only wrong thing I see is Waterboy/Digital Pirate backing out of a trade in a dick fashion; which, while dick, isn't exactly scamming either.
