I met this person on http://www.tf2outpost.com/ I was looking to buy an ear bud for 23 keys. I did not know it was a scam at the time of the trade. The outcome was that I bought his ear bud with my 23 keys without knowing it was a scam.
Hello, how exactly is this a scam? Also: Sorry, only Valve can return items but they only return items stolen via hijackings.

He should learn what scamming is before accusing traders, as scamming is a serious offense. I would leave this alone but i might as well post a screenshot of this. He buys some earbuds off me and then thinks they are duped. I never told them they were clean or i never checked if they are, because any other trader knows duped buds are common and do not affect value. I never checked if they were duped or not or never made any claims if they were duped or not.
Duped buds don't matter. The only people that care about duped buds are newbies that aren't told buds are the exception to the duped = bad rule. Also, it's your own fault for not checking before you bought them since you seem to care about something almost nobody else does.
Unfortunately 95-99% of buds on the market are dupes, it's very hard to find buds that aren't duped - as a matter of fact I can only think of 1 pair that aren't duped and they aren't for sale. He never claimed that they weren't duped, in general it's safe to assume that any buds you might come across are duped. The previous posters are correct, duped buds are worth the same amount as not duped buds - 22-23 keys
