I was tired, and have extremely bad vision, he added me to buy my unique team captain for 6 ref, I went into trade, and accidentally put in my Unusual Team captain and accepted, and didnt notice until after the trade was done, im distraught to say the least. He immediately removed me and blocked me after the trade was done, and he obviously knows that this was not a fair trade, and was an accident, PLEASE HELP!

You screwed up... Valve gives you two ways to verify what you are trading for a reason to verify then re-verify thus making trades final. I don't see anyway he tricked you into putting the wrong hat into the box and clicking Ok to trade not once but TWICE. You can't get people tagged because you screwed up and are unable to show that other person had the intent to scam regardless of the outcome.

This is my opinion and one I'll stand behind for the reasons I've outlined.

If he immediately deleted me, he obviously knew what he did. i know i f✿✿✿ed up big time, he blocked me, and anyone else that tried to come in contact with him. i have bad eyesight, and when i put the TC in, i didnt see the purple lining. i dont know how i could be so f✿✿✿✿✿✿ stupid, and trust me im beating myself up over this already as it is.

you know what, this horsedick guy is an a✿✿✿✿✿✿, it doesnt matter if he screwed up, the other guy had the intent to keep it and did not say anything, blocked him immediately, and when i tried to add him, he ignored and blocked me as well, so HE DID SCAM HIM and something should be done.

lol thanks but prove he tried to scam...that is the reason for a report to prove one scammed or had the intent. Again I'll say this - Valve gives you TWO ways to verify the trade before its complete. Blaming this on bad eyesight or being tired is bs, you won't get the item back you may as well forget that. But tagging them when you can't prove in no way that he tried to scam you with any screen shots of deception etc etc is nonsense...point is, you f✿✿✿ed up.

I don't know how people can defend the actions of this guy. It's completely shady and unwanted behavior for anyone in a trading community and it's absolutely reprehensible what the guy did.

The agreed upon trade was a unique TC and 6 Ref. Not a 5 bud hat and 6 ref. If the guy was an honest and regular trader, he would've realized that was NOT the correct trade.

What's even worse is the block and lack of communication that he showed to absolutely anyone, as well as an immediate name change and privacy profile activation. This is not someone we'd ever want to trade with if they can get away with malicious behavior such as this.

Here is a similar situation which resulted in a (scammer) mark being placed on the offender because, similiar to this situation, the trade was completely different than what was agreed upon. The offender later returned the item and was downgraded to a caution. I feel that if the scammer steps up to what he did and ends in a resolution such as what took place in that situation, then he can be forgiven. But for now it's downright wrong and nobody should want to trade with someone who does something like that.

    Two things

    1) As Horsedick pointed out, it is the responsibility of the individual to confirm the items you are trading. You admitted it was a mistake on your part. Laziness of not checking to do so is ignorance on your part, not a deceptive measure taken by the accused.

    2) Even if it were deceptive on his part, SR does not accept sharking reports.

    This report is invalid.
