Hello I am steam id user AdnanaBanana and well today, Feb.14.2014. I was recorded, and now I have a trade banned. I know many users try to lie and say something happened and they didn't scam but I am here to say the truth about it. So it all started around 3 weeks ago. I was on a TF2 Trade Center looking to buy hats for the 2 refined metal I had. When I was traded a user told me he would buy my refined metal, and some of the weps/clothes I had. I asked him how much, and he told me a price that was too good to be true. Without hesitation I decided to accept his trade. Once I accepted the trade I was overly excited to receive a steam wallet code. Right when we accepted the trade I went in game to trade him again and he was no where. When I go to steam to try and add him he was no where. That got me extremely mad. After a couple of hours of complete out rage I decided to say the same thing as the scammer did to me. Without expecting someone to trade me, I got a trade offer. I told him almost the same as the scammer did to me. And ended up taking 5-6 ref worth. After I tf2outpost'ed the items and got my metal I decided to buy the items I wished for. I thought to myself, that was really simple, and without a thought in my mind I decide to say the same thing in every game. "Buying tf2 items for real world money" I would scam around 1-2 guys in a couple days, nothing special, 2-3 ref worth really. And this continued for about a week and a half, scamming around 3-4 guys. Finally I decided, this is enough. I've taken too many items, and I couldn't bare myself knowing a took so many items. For around 3-4 days I would just sit on tf2outpost or trade centers and look for trades involving me profit. It came to the point I had 3 keys worth then I had. I checked, and had 6 keys, and thought to myself. wow this is quite amazing. And just for fun. i typed in "buying tf2 items for money" when someone traded me... Giving me a key worth. I was so happy. The day after i woke up and say i had almost 7 keys in my bp. I felt dreadful. I would get people adding me linking me to steamrep.com and the forum showing that i tried to scam. I didn't know what to do, so i did what i had to do. I gave my items away. All of it. Players would tell me nice things, and i was more happier then i ever was playing tf2. While i was giving out my items, i friendly player traded me and said, why are you selling these for free?, i would respond, the old me use to scam, the new me doesn't want the items that i "cheated" for. He was so proud and gave me around 30 items worth, (probably a rec/2rec each) To give to players. i felt extremely grateful for it. The next day when i go on tf2, i see some of my friends got deleted. not just 1 or 2, but around 6-7. Right when i launch tf2, and tell players i am selling my last items. A player responded in the chat saying "Adnana is trade banned!" Scared as i was i went to check. i was. i feel terrible and really sorry for all I've done. All i ask for is to release the trade ban off me, and just put a scammer alert or so.

    Please and thank you.
    Best Regards,
    AdnanaBanana

Trade bans are Valve's doing, not Steamrep's. You'll need to create a Steam ticket to appeal a Valve trade ban.

no idea. Valve is usually pretty slow on responding. As far as I know, Accounts that are hijacked are #1 priority, and I have no idea where trade bans fall in.

This is not a SteamRep issue.
