Has SR ever thought of the idea of making a special tag for professional players for CS:GO, TF2(not sure how many people would impersonate TF2 pro players, but w/e), and DOTA 2?

For one, I was scammed by a iBUYPOWER adreN impersonator, and mrtweeday, a huge CS:GO editor for NiP has been complaining about all the impersonators.

Has there ever been thought into this?

Tags are not the answer to the impersonation problem. Doing the research would probably prevent more impersonation scams than tags.

Also, the problem with all informational tags is the same. The perfect example is SR DONATOR tag. It is just a tag that informs people that the account in question donated to SteamRep. Unfortunately, some people think that this tag indicates trust. It does not.

Ah ok thanks for clarifying. :)
I thought maybe something like "Pro Player" or something of that could help, but it seems as if you justified it correctly!
