A long time ago i had a post on TF2 Outpost. I had a Strange Flamethrower for sale and I claimed it had a strange part. Before the post i had sold 2 other flamethrowers and honestly forgotten which one had which. I am admitting my fault and would like to Apologize to the man i stole from. I can also provide a ful refund for him. It was my fault and i take full credit. It was an honest mistake and i would hope i can clear this up

I am prepared to pay him back and may even double the amount.

Also would like to add this is my first offense and after about i dont know like 5 months would like to get myself clean and start over.

You knowingly sold him an item without a part that he paid extra for, clear scam. As for paying back, you should be doing this regardless of your scammer tag, because it's messed up not just doing it so you can pay-off your scammer tag. You shouldn't have your tag removed just because you say it's your first offense in 5 months, you scammed once and you are bound to scam again. That may sound like a bias assumption but I've seen it happen before lots of times.

Apologizing and repaying won't necessarily get you out of a scammer tag.

I had sold other flamethrowers with parts. I honestly thought the item i was selling had the strange part on it.

If that's true, then why not give him the right one right away? Or a refund? Instead you wait until you're marked and then try to get out if it.

As i said. I was not keep rack of which ones i had sold and i was honestly thinking that the item had the part.

Can you provide screenshot of your inventory history for some days may 3 and before? Because in all the items history i can only found you have one and ONLY one Strange flamethrower and nothing show you had more than 1. And the only one that show is the one the person have reported you, currently have.

Why you didn't refunded him when he asked instead of waiting after the tag?

and if you read above then you would realize that the reason i didn't refund him is because i thought he had removed the strange part. I had traded some items for the flamethrower with the strange part on it from another guy. I immdiately turned around to re-sell it and i did. I thought that the reason he wanted a refund was because he remvoved the strange parrt.

So why don't you use your brain, buy the god damn strange part, and buy another flamethrower (if you don't have one atm) and add the strange part(s) that were on it.

You will need proof that you sold the flamethrower w/ parts to the other guy, and proof that he didn't know. You must screenshot the chat. Although you could plan it out before a screenshot is taken, so this isn't the best way.

What I think will happen is that Ratta will be able to re-appeal later, maybe at the end of the year, but not now. As there is really no evidence as of yet.

Ok yet again, you can re-read what I wrote. Add the guy that you sold the flamethrower to. The guy that was supposed to have the strange part attached when he purchased it from you. Ask him what strange part was on it, or if you remember, confirm with him/her to be 100% sure. Buy that strange part from someone, and buy a flamethrower (if you dont have one), and trade it to him.

It's not too hard if you can understand and read english.

I bought it from someone who said it had a strange part. I got a good deal. I turned around and sold it to a guy thinking it had the strange part. He wanted a refund and i thought e removed the strange part and thats why he wanted a refund

What Dignity is saying is that you should give the victim a strange flamethrower with the strange part you promised for free.

Also, you said you were selling a flamethrower with a strange part but mistaken it with your other flamethrower. Now your saying that you basically assumed it had a strange part. Which is it? That you mistaken the two flamethrowers and gave him the wrong one or that you sold him the correct flamethrower but you assumed it had a strange part?

Or, what I haven't thought of, is that Ratta did already give the Flamethrower, but for the price as if it has the Strange Part. Just buy that Strange Part, and give it to him.
