Y'all probably know that Teamviewer was initially created for large companies to run meetings,

I don't understand why people don't use this feature, but rather give other people complete access when they simply ask to see your screen to screencap, you can even hide windows so it only shows steam and the web browser that you have paypal open in.

A lot of scammers are asking to use it to "take screen captures", if the victim uses presentation mode, the scammer can't take over their computer

It's better not to use it. Mistakes happen and you'll kick yourself if you get scammed using it. Just safer to stay away

    I doing this service.

but here a few thing that need to be aware to be safe.

    1. Do not give your teamviewer ID and password
    2. make sure the steam client is legit
    3. try using wrong password first before entering the real one.
    4. If you enter wrong password and it suddenly log in that mean it not legit
    5. When you enter steamguard code make sure you untick "remember this computer"
    6. If s✿✿✿ happen, immediately login your steam account on your main computer.
so you can kick the teamviewer login.
    7. Use alternate account to be safe. New TF2 player for the first time get Tux too.

I'd still say its much safer to never use teamviewer

Compromising your security for an item or trade is just silly and shortsighted. Always be careful. A persons computer has a lot of personal information in whatever form and security should be taken seriously. If someone gains access to your personal information or accounts, it's not just the accounts that suffer, you're left feeling violated and angry. Not worth the risk

Dont use it is a good way to avoid any form of scamming or hacking, hijacking.
Only trust trustworthy people, sr admin, sop trusted seller, MM etc and even that is not 100% safe, the best ay to get this tux thing is to do it by yourself :) Personnaly I use virtualbox and emulate ubuntu (i'm on Imac).

Contact Steam Support and get your account back.

I'm going to lock this because that was a massive necrobump.
