I'm not talking only about SteamRep admins. I'd like to know how is it to be an admin of any kind. Some popular Steam group, forum, server etc.
I know it brings lots of responsibilities. Though I know that admins are highly respected (sometimes even feared).
So tell me admins of any kind. How is it to play with normal people, chat with them, judge them etc. Do they behave in other way than your friends? Are they trying to be horribly nice and don't look bad in your eyes?
Moderators can also tell me how it is to be a moderator. :)

When I read any of admins/moderators post I wonder how it would be to be such a person. So I'm asking you. :)

Well to be honest some people do take the positions to be feared or to show off an epeen. I personally do it because it needs to be done and I happen to have a skill set that makes it easy for me to manage.

All players are equal in the end. Admins, mods and players are all the same in my eyes. Just I have a responsibility to uphold certain standards and rules. All Admins should think this way. Unfortunately they don't.

Some people will always behave differently around figureheads of a community, honestly better if people just act the same around everyone instead of trying to hiding their true behavior, makes things so much easier
How it is being a moderator where I am is just the same as being a regular user, apart from the workload of sorting through appeals and reports
Also no reason to fear administration unless you've broken rules they enforce, or I guess abusive admins but that's just silly
Also who can I talk to about getting tagged on here as a TF2R admin

You're a moral standard 24/7 and it's a privilege. It's your job to do the best you can and set the best example.

There's days that I hate it , days I love it, but either way, the knowledge that I'm protecting traders and users makes it all worth it. Scams, abuse in server, especially to other players, is just bullying and it has no place where I admin.

    Speaking about abusive admins:

I can agree with fear after breaking the rules but also users may be feared if they break some rules accidentaly or the admin is harsh.
I've once played on some server where admins were terrible, not only they completly didn't respect normal users or their donors but also on their forums they don't care about complains against them (they don't even read the posts). Because of admins like these I described people may fear the other ones.
