Declined Report:

I had uncrated my first unusual. I was happy but it was very unfimiliar but it looked great. Thats when my freind "Wheatley" traded me. I know how trading goes and the price he offered was low but i didn't know that. He offers 7 ref and 2 keys. Then he trys to "sweeten" the deal by making me add my Damaged Capacitor. I thought it was only fair until i learned from a freind that i was just scammed terribly. He then says I didn't scam you I only ripped you off. Cant post the chat.

Hey, thanks for the report. If you can, you use the format for reporting a scammer and post it here? It's much easier for an Admin to look at your report that way.

Without actual proof, there is not much we can do. However, if he did only give you a bad deal, then Steamrep will not mark him, as they do not mark for Sharking (AKA ripping someone off). At current prices, the capacitor was worth more than the 7 ref and 2 keys.

However, some communities DO mark for sharking, a good example would be say UTC, I'll post a link here. If you report him here (with evidence, for example your inventory history) they will not only ban him from all UTC servers, (one of the largest trade server collections) but from their site as well, I believe they also work in tandem with other servers, so he may be banned from other sites too.

In the future, if you ever get an unusual, check it on TF2pricecheck.net.

I didnt scam him, i lowballed him, and he accepted. Its not my problem is he was stupid enough to give me a very cheap unusual. I didnt not say" give me the unusual and i'll give you metal in 15 min" i gave him metal IN the trade. It wasnt a scam, it was a lowball.
Since he said he cant post the pics, i'll do it for him.

Technically, lowballing is just offering a low price, you're using wrong terminology. And you are right, it is not classed as a scam. It comes under sharking, abusing his (no offense) ignorance of unusual pricing. Anyway, with the provided evidence here, he can report you for Sharking to any one of the major TF2 communities, UTC, AF2 and I believe TF2outpost bans for Sharking also. They can and will ban you for Sharking from all of their respective servers, websites and communities and will make it quite hard for you to trade in the future.

It's still dishonest, it's up to him whether to report you to UTC or the like and have you banned from their sites and servers as a shark.
