Friend got scammed, helping him, need help myself.

I stumbled upon a trade, it was strange, mainly because of the comments,

Posted a trade offer, of an unusual whirly warrior c9.

claimed he wanted his unusual back, I got curious and asked what happened,

The user added me saying he got scammed, so ever since around 3 hours ago, i've been helping him.
The buyer said he'll give money to the scam victim, obviously, after he traded the unusual, the buyer pretending he already sent the cash, and ignored the user.

He has proof of sending the trade and his paypal history,
We just don't know what to do, we found the scammers most likely alt : http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198156935484
And by likely, I mean really likely, all the signs its an alt, and we predict he might move the unusual there.

The scammer is obviously scared, this is probably his first time, he saw an opportunity and took it,
He said he will give the unusual back in 5 days, but that most likely is false, and probally is planning something.

Me and my friend never stumbled across this before, and all I want is for him to get his unusual back,
So we need help, from some experienced folks on here, what do we do?

He just now changed his profile to private, and changed his name.

Its obvious he is the scammer, we just need directions.

I planned to reply this to the other staff member who commented, but here it is, we have all proof other then chat logs, he lost those, unless there is some way to view them?

I seen some scammers give back the items after being marked. Some scammers gave it back out of fear of being marked.
All depends on the scammer type.

He said he'll give it back, and said it'll take him 5 days,

But him recently changing his profile to private and ignoring us is showing bad faith.

Making restitution is just one part of an appeal. This does not mean that they will get their tag removed if they are actually banned by SR.

Friend is filing a report, we highly doubt hes going to give it back, we hope he does, but.. yeah.
I assume he is planning something, there isn't a way he can get away clean can he?
I mean, we can easily track the item history and find out if he swapped the items to an alt.

Looks like it, but we don't have the chat logs, so we are screwed, :/
Hopefully we get better luck with steam support, but knowing them.. ehhh.
