Rejected 76561198037573658 Chrysalis (SR Scammer)

First i'd like to begin with a question: Who is a scammer? Scammer is one who gains items or takes advantage of others. Ain't i right?
I am tagged for falsifying an evidence of rejected report. First, it did nothing, not helped anyone. Second, i lied, but i did not scammed anyone. Scammer tag is now given to everyone who does something wrong and not only stealing items? This is not what Steamrep was made for, is it?

This is obvious fake and i made it because of strong desperation, anger and sadness. With it, i did not tried to scam anyone. I tried to get actual scammer banned.

People, since when lying means scamming? I did not stole a hat or anything. I just followed a bad advise. I am honest trader with big reputation and this tag will make people think i am evil scammer who steals hats. I am not.

Fake evidence was based on actual evidences i had, but lost while talking to scammer.

If you people think that one who was trying to defend himself and get scammer banned deserves a tag, then go ahead. I just wrote what i think is right.

I faked evidence of chat with self-admitted, later, scammer. I did not lied about him doing it. You all know this is truth, thanks to RAY's screenshot. So basically this is not even a fake evidence, but theatre i used to show what he did.

Lying is lying. No matter what!

Fake evidence is fake evidence. If you can't provide real evidence, then don't provide any.


There's this great saying: If you lie. You won't get anywhere in life, even if you do the lies will fall apart and you'll end up with ..nothing. From personal experience with you, I wouldn't call you 'honest' at all. You know why and you know it really good.


Edit: "to take advantage of or steal from another trader": That can mean getting them tagged with fake evidence. You steal something from them, the right to trade with others.

I am not always honest, yes, but with trades, i had never sharked nor scammed anyone, always paid full price for everything.
I tried to take away his right to trade because this scum stole over 600$ from me, but ofc. you think its allright and he is innocent.

I have not overlooked the fact that you do display signs of honest dealing in trading and it can be argued that this incident is something in isolation. You have been a member of SOP since mid last year and your rep thread (from your other account) appears to show successful transactions. In our chat you constantly put forward how great your trading reputation is and how 'clean' you are. There may be no scammer's intent in the general sense.

However this case is another matter entirely. Quite simply I cannot overlook the planning needed the execute a piece of false evidence. This in nature is extremely deceptive and is a contravention of our report mechanism. Firstly you needed to mimic your alt to look like "Pinkies". Secondly you needed to falsify the chat which would incriminate him and tie him to the report. An emotional reaction, which you have argued to myself wouldn't have lasted to the point of the preparation needed to create this evidence. This is where your true intent is revealed.

You told me you wanted to get "revenge somehow and lied in order to get judgement done". Using the SR report system to have revenge on a scammer by doing this, is a violation of our report mechanism and our service to the community. The act of attempting to deceive admins to accept your report, incriminating another trader (whether scammer or not) is unacceptable and is a direct attempt at undermining the integrity of our service. You drew attention to the FAQ of our definition of a "scammer"

but I again, draw attention to the definition section:

From your actions the SR admin who marked you was right in your actions falling under deceptive and fradulent conduct.
1) Deceiving SR admins by means of creating false evidence.
2) The act of creating fraudulent/false screenshots to incriminate an individual through our report mechanism.

Your arguments concerning that Pinkie never would have confessed "but for" you falsifying evidence is irrelevant, as I had put forward to you, the reasonable person would have accepted the chatlog evidence was no longer available and found other means to acquire the evidence from the alleged scammer. Instead of doing this, you deliberately created the false evidence, which was highly unnecessary to add integrity to your scam report. Do you see the paradox in that sentence? There is no integrity to your scam report and there is no integrity to yourself as a person.

Your last argument was "you were trying to save a community from a scammer". You have stated kindness of this nature is not allowed on the internet. Unfortunately, you went about it the dishonest, wrong way. This is no way to catch a scammer and is the type of kindness I want no part of. At Steamrep we save the community from scammers day in day out, but do so, without forsaking our integrity.

A downgrade to a CAUTION may be appropriate down the track but by using the SR report mechanism in this way is an attack on our service's integrity and a deliberate attempt at harming a trader through false incrimination (scammer or not). The SCAMMER tag is justified here.
