    Scam Report

Report Type: [Accomplice] Alternate account of hijacker or scammer
Virtual item type involved: [None] No items

    Accused profile: 76561198072290812

    Victim profile: 76560000000000001

    What happened? Description:
I'm sorry if this report is not proper but I simply could not not report this person for their account.

Before you judge straight away, this person has a DOCTORED PAYPAL HISTORY, clearly seen from his screenshot attached (this is his - not my own screenshot). He has had two apparent "transactions" in the last four months, one on April 2nd and one April 1st. However, looking at his "rep" on his profile, he has had numerous "PayPal transactions" in late March and many on April 1-3. How would this be with just two transactions since 2014? Not only the clearly doctored transactions to show April, but in the screenshot is a CSGOLounge trade with a numeric ID starting with 366. CURRENT trade numeric IDs start with a 6, such as my own trade from 3 days ago http://csgolounge.com/trade?t=61914286. This means the trade in the screenshot is EXTREMELY OLD, proving again that his screenshot is fake.

He also has not made private his old scamming account which is currently tradebanned here http://steamcommunity.com/id/SuperSayanGOD/. This account has fake +rep from his current account (the account I am filing a report against). The descriptions are exactly the same, pictures are similar, they both link the same "PayPal history" and same item inventory.

Checking his games, he has faked screenshots. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/28486479459806786/1107D8B301FA3CF3FD6419E8B25F1EA40C0E1F42/ According to this image, he says he has 532 competitive wins and is MGE. He has just 19 hours in CSGO. This, I believe, is a doctored image from potentially his "vault account" http://steamcommunity.com/id/shu0ku0chi which has 1600 hours. He has attached his vault account to his scamming accounts and hence, why would he need to doctor the screenshot to claim that it is actually he who has the hours?

Also in the above screenshot showing his rank as MGE we can see the highly pixelated profile picture, and poorly edited outline of the gold csgo rewards (you can actually see the outline of the Paint job (I'd call it a Photoshop job, but he can't have used PS because the image is so obviously fake).

"But his Steam level is 80, he must have spent a long time getting it to there" simply put, no. His Steam inventory is filled with -% off discounts all of which run out on 04/Aug/2015. This shows he has simply used trading cards to inflate his steam level - a common scammer attempt.

Achievements. Nothing much to say here really except that they're all hacked. http://puu.sh/gZFQ3/2c3cf36c8f.jpg demonstrates this. Except for DoTA, he has no more than 31 hours in any game yet has achievements which "only 0.03% of players have".

Against his previous account (Goku) he has a report http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/...-counter-strike-global-offensive-items.96029/ This report is still pending albeit the account being reported has been Valve tradebanned.

Going back to his supposed "rep", check his comments on his profile. Here, we see his friends who have +repped him repeatedly giving him PAGES of +rep at a time. These friends of his are all tradebanned, attached are screenshots showing what I mean.

I could honestly continue posting reasons and proof as to why this is an obvious scam account but I've already spent nearly an hour looking at this accounts properties and gathering information.

To clarify, I saw this guy advertising that he's buying high-tier skins and knives for real money on CSGOLounge. The original trade can be found here http://csgolounge.com/trade?t=63543188

    Thanks.

    Provide Evidence:
    1. The first image shows his alt account that has been tradebanned.
    2. This image displays the poor edited image effort on his half. You can clearly see the edges of the doctored image and pixellated images of his profile and the gold achievements related to CSGO.
    3. This image displays the faked PayPal dates. You can clearly see these have marks near and are obviously doctored.
    4. Shows one of his friends +repping him 5 times and that this friend is tradebanned.

I have sent him this thread in attempt for him to justify his profile. He has blocked me on Steam and CSGOLounge.

Your only report on SteamRep is a fake report filed against someone who has never spoken to you in his entire life.

Aside from that, you're friends with a LOT of his friends too. Why would this be if you only added him to buy 2 knives and an AWP from him?

Nice try, but it didn't work.

Attached is the proof of matched friends - all of whom have trade bans or SteamRep bans.

LOL. He has now disassociated his tradebanned alternate account and changed much of the information but the ID64 remains the same!

    Attached is proof.

Update: looked up his alt account's aliases. He has impersonated Vintage Cobra, a well known SteamRep admin. Attached is proof.

Update: he admitted to scamming. I have no idea how much it cost him to get the account but he didn't get any high value items - his inventory is 1 key and cases.

Update: The PayPal image has changed to show the undoctored dates but the facts remain the same - this is a scammer (obviously). http://i.imgur.com/eFV85La is the URL of his image.

Alright, so unfortunately it seems that I fell for this guy. I honestly couldn't believe that somebody with a profile and trade history like that can be a scammer without any noticeable reports and then risking this account's reputation. Can anybody explain this to me? He has thousands of trades and his inventory is full of knives. I was extremely hesitant but in the end I just couldn't believe it.
My case: Added the guy via csgl since he would buy knives for real money. I tried to sell for keys before, but couldn't get the price I wanted. So he offered me a little over market price and after a lot of hesitation and googling (I even found this thread but still the massive possible reputation loss made me not believe it) I accepted and sent him the knife. He immediately went offline and deleted me.
I don't really mind the money, I just want to know how and why this could happen with an account this massive. Is it all faked? If yes, how?
Will post screenshots of the case early next week, I'm at my parents over Easter.

This actually makes my blood boil. You clearly can see the fake PayPal and inventory screenshots that I took a lot of time to include and explain in my post. Now your items are in the hands of some guy who makes money off of people that are so blind to just trade something worth $100+ to someone they've never met before. Gah.

To be honest, I didn't read all of it. Guess for everything there is a first time. I'm not asking for comforting or sympathy, I just want to know how he could have gathered an account like that with this report here being the only one so far.

    Very easily. Every 10 levels in Steam requires 100 more XP - Level 1 - 10 is 100xp per level, 1000xp = level 10. Level 11 = 1200xp, 12 = 1400xp, and so on (source)

It costs $170 to get from level 0 to level 80. That's the price of most mid tier knives. If he scams a $200 knife, he still makes profit. That's how the system works.

Couple of fake (and horribly unconvincing) screenshots, fake copy/pasted description, hacked achievements and fake +rep or boosted +rep from rep4rep trades on Lounge (along with a small <$5 on CSGOLounge to make him look reputable) and he's good to go.

By shutting down accounts like this early on as opposed to later, these guys fall out of business quickly. SteamRep has obviously missed the boat however and now he has made profit and so the cycle continues.

Hmm alright. And how come the nearly 1000 trades and 10000+ market transactions? Hacked achievements, how does that work? And what do you mean by "it costs 170$ to get to lvl 80"?
My knife was like 80 EUR current market price, so not that expensive. But of course I still payed my lesson.
Still wondering, he puts like dozens of hours of gameplay into it to probably get trade banned instantly. And account is 2 years old.
Seems like I learned a lot today. Thanks for clarification.

1000 trades is easy. Trade a case to someone. Trade it back. Repeat 1000+ times. Simple.
10000 market transactions is easy too. He has 40+ pages of CSGO items, all of which are Huntsman cases ($0.03). Buy them off the market, sell them on the market. Easy 10000 transactions.

http://gib.me/sam/ By using a simple tool similar to this one which simply unlocks achievements for you.

It took him $170 worth of Steam Trading Cards to earn enough experience to get him to level 80.

He didn't put any hours in, this account was likely never his in the first place. Most accounts go for really cheap and have a few games, maybe 1-5 years on Steam and they will go for less than $50. It doesn't matter if he scams you from your 80 Euro knife if he scams 5 of those knives - that's 400 Euro, easily covering his costs and making him profit.

Doesn't cost much to buy an old Steam account. They're even on ebay.

I already thought his paypal screenshot was phishy, but greedyness took over and I decided to trust the f✿✿✿✿er.
Now I'm just hoping I can get something done.
Contacted Steam, CSGOLounge, Paypal and made a post on the CSGOLounge forums.
I got his paypal info. (See attachment)

I hope noone else is as stupid as me.
