What happened? Description:

[BBG] Big Bang Theory said he was a middleman/legitimate admin from steamrep.com and told me to send me the trade offer. He joined the chat with the buyer and kept asking me to send the trade offer and accept it. I gave him my email to send me to the paypal money and after I accepted the trade offer, they both instantly left chat and blocked me.​

Provide Evidence:

As you can see through chat, it shows that "[BBG] Big Bang Theory" stated he was an admin, also claimed by the buyer. I trusted both of them and instantly got scammed. I never received a payment. I am an actual legitimate seller and am quite bummed out on this scam. I hope that there could be something done about this. I lost my Factory New Karambit Tiger Tooth.​

The name of the buyer: Kilua

@«¢ùrr£й$y», have you clicked on the profile of [BBG] Big Bang Theory in the chat you were having with him to see if you weren't dealing with an impersonator? Also the ID64 information of this Kilua person would be helpful.

Please complete the following steps, exactly as written, in order:

1. Go to your trade history from in your web browser. https://steamcommunity.com/my/inventoryhistory
2. Scroll down to the trade in question. It may be on a different page, but that's fine; just open the page which has this particular trade.
3. Hover your mouse over the name of the person who received your item(s).
4. With your mouse still over the name from step 3, take a full, uncropped screenshot, and save it to your desktop without making any edits.
5. Right-click the name of the person who received your item(s) from the trade history page, and select Copy Link Address (Chrome), Copy Link Location (Firefox), or Copy shortcut (Internet Explorer).
6. Go to SteamRep.com and paste that link into the Search field. If a warning opens up (which may or may not happen), click "I understand".
7. Copy and Paste the full text from the box below the profile picture that comes up into your next reply. You can click the "Copy Info" button on the SteamRep profile page from step 6.
8. Upload your screenshot from step 4 as an attachment.
9. Post your reply, including both step 7 and 8.

@Skyrider http://steamcommunity.com/id/Kiluaishere/ is the ID of the buyer.

@Skyrider he showed up on the steamrep.com/list/m as a legitimate middleman/admin during the time of the trade, which then I began to initiate the trade.

I'm afraid you were the victim of a impersonator of which has been banned on SR 33 days ago.

As for Kilua, also been banned on SR 28 days ago.

I assume you haven't checked their SR profiles?

@Skyrider I did not check their SR profiles thoroughly. I feel like quite a fool for being a victim of this scam. This was my first time making a sale through this website and I feel quite ashamed losing a valuable item to a scammer. I learned my lesson and will never make the same mistake again. If there is nothing that can be done, I thank you for your efforts.

I'm sorry for the loss of the item. The only thing I can do is adding the additional information you provided on their already banned SR profiles of which I have done now.

Your report was accepted for this user, though they were already banned for other reports. We've added the offense to our notes as further consideration during any appeal. Feel free to report a violation via their Steam profile.

1. Visit the accused's profile
2. Click More drop-down located at the top right of the page
3. Choose Report Violation
4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
