    Scam Report

Report Type: [Item Fraud] Quick-switch trade scam or attempt
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198392383842

    Victim profile: 76561198138721787

    What happened? Description:
The accused wanted to trade my M9 Bayonet Vanilla for his StatTrak Hyper Beast FN, I knew it might be fishy, but I was a good sport and played along.

So I added him and promptly he started a chat. He sent me a trade URL. Which I used and added the items, then when I clicked on “Make Offer”, it prompted me with the error, so I knew he might have quick switched. And yes, now he only had a StatTrak Hyper Beast WW in his inventory in the trade window.

I went back to the chat and told him something went wrong and that he only had a WW now.

    He immediately unfriended me.

    The trade URL: https://steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/?partner=432118114&token=_QbZbKBL
My csgotraders.net trade where you can see his reply: https://csgotraders.net/trade/1384004

This looks to me as clear intent to scam, for new traders they would have lost their item to a StatTrak Hyper Beast WW, if they hadn’t noticed it like I did.

I saw there is an achieved report that he has been accused of this before, I hope the evidence I have provided is what is needed to have him banned. https://forums.steamrep.com/posts/444116/

    Provide Evidence:
Screenshot of chat window, both as friends and right after he unfriended me
Screenshot of trade windows, 03 to 05 is before the quick switch and 06 is after.
Csgotrader trade and his profile screenshot

    ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE, hope this helps:
It is crazy, I literally saw him doing the quick switch scam just now, I just learned you can view historical data on SteamRep, and noticed the accused had a new friend Ryanig3006 (steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198123154941) and took screenshots along the way, I feel so sorry for this guy. I wish I could have done something more.

@VersatileDread What a user has in their pack at that time or now is irrelevant ... can't go off that.
Did you get TWO different trade offers from the accused with THEM adding the items into the trades vs what the chat says.
I don't want nothing more than a YES or No answer from that - if Yes I need screenshots of BOTH offers.

And I did not understand the question, it is clear that I was not send an offer, it was a live trade, where he switched items during the trade. Furthermore, he is doing this all day long it seems, I have seen friends added and deleted, I saw the trade gone wrong which I also posted. So I really do not understand how that is not enough. In my view this is very clear what he is doing.

Ok we can't review this then - that would have to be acquired to prove the scam in question which is super hard to do unless you get the screenshots and the trades like that.

You have to prove it with screenshots - you can't/didn't - regardless of what anyone thinks here the burden of proof is still required.
